Today’s Halloween project is a card that features a black cat silhouetted against a full moon. This card was super easy to make! I simply cut my layers, cut a yellow full moon using the Layering Circle Framelits dies and then cut the cat right out of the moon using the Cat Punch. Since the top layer of the card is black, once the moon was adhered, it looks like you’ve got a black cat with the moon as a backdrop. I just added a few simple embellishments and greeting and it’s done! I also sponged a bit of Crushed Curry ink on the moon to give it a bit of a shadowed look!
This card was inspired by fellow Stampin’ Up! demonstrator Mary Deatherage. Her original card is identical in layout to this one, just in different colors. The colors I chose for this version are Basic Black, Crushed Curry, Elegant Eggplant, and Tangerine Tango.
Please check back tomorrow for another fun Halloween project!
