It was a Paper Pumpkin kind of day!

Thursday ended up being a Paper Pumpkin day, although it definitely didn’t start out that way!  I thought it was going to be a regular old Thursday until Luca woke up with a 102 degree temperature.  He ended up staying home from school, I stayed home from work, and since he slept most of the day, I got to catch up on using my September and October kits!

The first thing I made were some whoopie pies for a bake sale this weekend.  I put them in cellophane bags and had twist ties that I could have used to keep them closed, but I wanted to dress them up a bit!  So I used the Jack O’ Lanterns and black twine from September’s Paper Pumpkin kit!  Check out what the full September kit makes.  It includes supplies for 8 of each treat bag shown below, for a total of 24 treat bags:

Isn’t it cute?  So perfect for Halloween treats!

The second kit I used was the October kit called Friends of a Feather.  Take a look at what the full kit makes:

The kit makes eight cards total, four of the larger, brown cards that I made on Thursday, and four note card sized ones, which I have not finished yet.  I really love the color combo in this kit!  Such pretty colors for Fall!

I put together my four cards as directed in the kit, but switched up a couple little things.  First, I used a Thank You sentiment from the Thankful Thoughts stamp set instead of the stamps that came in the kit.  I also pulled the metallic thread out of the baker’s twine before using it.  Here’s a close up the finished product, with its matching, lined envelope:

Here’s all four cards together:
