Stitched Seasons Meets Sunshine Wishes!

Today’s card features the upcoming Stitched Seasons Framelits dies, along with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper!  The Stitched Seasons Framelits are part of the August 1st release of the Stitched Seasons products.  I recently wrote a post about this new bundle, with all the relevant info regarding release dates, products, and more!  If you missed it, you can read all about it HERE.

For today’s card, I made a wedding card with Powder Pink and White for the colors.  I used a pattern from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper that looks almost like stone for the background, and accented it with Powder Pink shimmer ribbon, as well as some floral die cuts in both Powder Pink and vellum.

The sentiment is die cut from the new Sparkle Glimmer Paper and centered right in the middle of the card.  There is NO stamping on this card at all.  Everything is cut with the Stampin’ Trimmer and the Big Shot!  Here is a close up of the center portion of the card:

The Petal Promenade Paper is gorgeous!  Most patterns are made from photographs of real flowers, stone, etc. This paper is also part of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Sale this month!  Here’s the full array of designs in the Petal Promenade paper:

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Powder Pink card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Designer Series Paper layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Whisper White Stitched Seasons Die Cut Layer:  3 x 4 inches

Powder Pink floral vine die cut:  1 x 3-1/8 inches (approximately)

Vellum die cuts:  varies (range from 1 x 3 to 1 x 2 inches)

Sparkle “congrats” sentiment:  1 x 3-3/4 inches

This card is perfect for a wedding, and is so pretty and sparkly in person!  I hope you like it!

A Lovely Floral Card Made with the Share What You Love Suite

My card today was made for a wedding that I will be attending next week!  I used two items from the NEW Share What You Love Suite, along with some current favorites.  To make this card, I embossed the top layer with a new embossing folder called the Lovely Floral Dynamic 3D Textured Embossing Folder.  It has a large, beautiful floral design that gets pressed into your paper when run through the Big Shot!  The design is pretty enough to stand on it’s own, but for this card, I wanted to do something a little different.  Here’s a peek at the folder so you can see what the whole design looks like:

It’s hard to see the whole thing, but there is a large central flower in the design of this folder.  For my card, I chose to cover up the flower with the sentiment, and instead have the sentiment be the center focus of the card.  The sentiment is heat embossed in silver and is from the Love What You Do stamp set.  It was cut out with the Layering Circles Framelits, and framed with a scalloped circle from the same set in a brand new color called Soft Sea Foam.  (I also used this color for the middle layer of the card.)

In order to dress up this card a little more, I added some vellum leaves made with the Leaf Punch, as well as some die cuts cut from Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper.  For those, I used the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  I also added a piece of sheer 1/8 inch white ribbon behind the sentiment for a little extra detail, and of course, added a few pearls in there too…it’s for a wedding, so why not?  🙂

Right now, you can get the Love What You Do stamp set and the Lovely Floral Embossing Folder as part of the Gotta Have It All early release bundle in the online store!  In addition to the two gorgeous items mentioned above, you also get a bunch of other items from the new Share What You Love Suite, as well as THREE FREE GIFTS with your purchase!  To see the full bundle and what is included, please click HERE.

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Shimmery White cardstock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Soft Sea Foam middle layer:  3-7/8 x 5-3/16 inches

Shimmery White cardstock top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Shimmery White/Soft Sea Foam sentiment pieces:  2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches

Vellum leaves and Dazzling Diamonds pieces:  2 x 2-1/2 inches each

Did I mention that this whole card is made from Shimmery White Cardstock?  That, combined with the Dazzling Diamonds paper, silver sentiment, pearls, and more all make this a perfect wedding card!  I hope that the couple I made it for will like it.  (And I hope you do too!)

Copper Tea Tin and Mini Note Card Set

My project today features items from a NEW suite of products called the Tea Room Suite!  All products in this suite will be available starting June 1st when the NEW 2018-2019 Annual Catalog goes live.  For this project, I used four products from the suite: Copper Tea Tins, Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers, Tea Room Ribbon, and Spot of Tea Framelits Dies.  There is also a coordinating stamp set, Designer Series Paper, and a Memories and More Card Pack in the suite!

For this project, I decided to keep it simple and do a coordinating set of three mini notecards with envelopes.  The tins measure 3-3/4 x 3-5/8 x 2-1/4 inches in size, making them the perfect size for holding 3 x 3 inch note cards and envelopes!

I wrapped the tin with a piece of Vellum, and then wrapped a piece of the Tea Room Ribbon around it as well.  I cut a doily from Fresh Fig cardstock using the Spot of Tea Framlits Dies and my Big Shot, then applied one of the stickers from the Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers.  I cut a 1-1/2 inch circle from the vellum as well, then applied the butterfly sticker.

Inside the tin are three mini notecards.  I used sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set for each card!  I used the same ribbon as on the outside of the tin, and used both of the doily dies from the Spot of Tea Framelits, one in Fresh Fig and the other in Whisper White.  I LOVE mini note cards, as they are the perfect size to tuck into gift bags, lunchboxes, or coworkers mail boxes!  You can also punch a small hole in the corner, thread some ribbon or twine through the hole, and use as a gift tag.  I kept all three cards exactly the same except for the sentiment and the sticker on the envelope:

I really love the combination of Fresh Fig and Copper.  I think it’s a really pretty color combination!

All of the items from the Tea Room Suite will be available June 1st.  When you receive your new catalog, you can find the suite on pages 14 and 15.  Need a demonstrator?  I would love to help you with whatever you need!  Please feel free to contact me anytime, or visit my online store to shop!

Although most of the products used on this project are not available just yet, there are still lots of fantastic products available NOW! Click the image below to shop current products, and don’t forget to check out the last chance products section!  All products in there are retiring, and are only available until May 31st or while supplies last.  Some products have started selling out already, so be sure to stock up on your retiring favorites before they are gone for good!

Bold and Bright Dragonfly Birthday Card

This week I will be featuring some of the cards that I made with my World Cardmaking Day event guests!  Most of the cards were already made and posted on my blog and Facebook page over the past couple of months.  But I did come up with a few new ones just for the occasion!  This first one was hands down the most popular card at my event.  Pretty much everyone who attended made at least one of these!  It was actually one of the more simple cards to make too!  It features a silver dragonfly, set against a background of bold blocks of color, and finished with a soft, shimmery, Pool Party ribbon and knot.  The layer behind the dragonfly was embossed using the Sparkle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for a little extra added detail.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set.

The color combo for this card was chosen from one I found on Pinterest that I’ve been wanting to try for awhile!  I added the silver myself, but here are all of the colors that were used (besides the silver):

I do tend to gravitate toward neutrals and subtles, but every once in awhile I want to experiment with other colors! I love, love , LOVE these colors together, and I love how the silver adds just a bit of contrast and shine to this card as well!

I hope you like this card as much as I do! Thanks for checking in today!

Copper Foil Wedding Card with Flourish Thinlits

Weddings usually call for something a little more elegant than your average, everyday card.  There are a few different ways that you can step up the wow factor, while still keeping things simple!  For this card, I used a combination of Shimmery White Cardstock, Copper Foil Sheets, and glittery Embossing Paste to make this card more elegant!

First, I used Shimmery White Cardstock to make both the card base and top layer of this card. Next, I mixed some Dazzling Diamonds glitter into a small amount of Embossing Paste and applied to the top layer using Palette Knives and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. The Embossing Paste does takes a bit of time to dry, so I set the top layer aside while I worked on the rest of the card.

I used my Big Shot and Flourish Thinlits to cut the large flourish from Copper Foil Sheets.  I stamped the “Side by Side” sentiment, which is from the Beautiful Bouquet Photopolymer stamp set, in Basic Black Archival Ink, just below the bottom edge of the Embossing Paste. I adhered the flourish using Multipurpose Glue. Once the top layer was fully completed, I adhered it to the base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Dimensionals gives the card added detail to step it up a bit a more!
