I just love the new Flying Home stamp set! This adorable bird themed set is available in both wood and clear mount, and contains eight red rubber stamps. The thin lines of the set make it perfect for hand coloring with markers, water color pencils, or other coloring tools. Pair the images in this set with the sentiment of your choice. It’s perfect for cards for all different occasions!
The set includes three large stamps, as well as five small individual stamps, perfect for adding detail or backgrounds. The smaller stamps include two butterflies, two birds, and a cute little bumblebee. This set would make a great addition to your stamp collection!

Thanks for checking in today! Happy Friday!
Every year when the Occasions Catalog comes out, I get so excited about everything that’s new, that I often (temporarily) forget about all of the amazing products still available in the Annual Catalog! So this weekend, I focused on making sure to feature Annual Catalog products in everything I created! For this set of cards, the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies is the main product I used from the Annual Catalog.
For both cards, I used Brusho in Brilliant Red, Gamboge, and Yellow with a Stampin’ Spritzer on Watercolor Paper. I cut a sheet of the watercolor paper in half, and watercolored the entire thing with Brusho. For the first card, when the watercolor paper was completely dry, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Detailed Floral Thinlits to make the colorful die cut top layer:
I mounted the die cut layer directly onto a thick Whisper White base, added a strip of white cardstock, and stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday set in Smoky Slate. I finished it by adding a white organza ribbon bow and some pearls!
While making the first card, I got the idea to make a second card, but use a solid Brusho layer underneath a white die cut top layer instead (so kind of the opposite of what I did for the first card!). So I colored another sheet of the watercolor paper with Brusho, then mounted it to the white base. I then used the die to make a plain white die cut layer, and added that over the Brusho piece. I then added the white strip, sentiment, bow, and pearls, just like on the first card:
And that’s it! I’m not sure which one of these I like better, but I know I really love the color variation of the Brusho on both! Which do you prefer?
Thanks for checking in today!
Today’s card is a card I made for a swap I participated in with my team. There were 14 of us, and we all used different stamps/bundles to make our cards. I chose the Petal Palette Bundle for mine! The bundle comes with the Petal Palette stamp set as well as the Petals & More Thinlits dies, and of course, you save 10% when you purchase the bundle! Here’s a picture from the catalog:
To make this card, I used a Thick Whisper White card base, and layered Berry Burst with regular Whisper White on top. I then used an aquapainter to spatter some Berry Burst ink from the bottom right corner up to the top left. While that dried, I cut out my background die cuts. I used the large leaves and vine die, as well as the trellis looking one. I cut two of the vine one, one from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and one from Vellum. On all of the die cuts I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets on the back before cutting. I absolutely LOVE these sheets! I think they are so much easier to use than glue. I always make a huge mess with glue, no matter how careful I am, so the adhesive sheets have been a real lifesaver for me! I adhered the vellum die cut first, then the Pear Pizzazz over it, and kind of off centered from each other, as I wanted the vellum one to be almost a shadow behind the green one.
Once those were on, I applied the trellis one across the middle of the card. I stamped the flowers and sentiment in Basic Black, and colored the flowers with aquapainters in Berry Burst and Pear Pizzazz. After they were dry, I cut the flowers out with the coordinating die from the set, and cut the sentiment out with one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The flowers were adhered with glue dots, and the sentiment piece with dimensionals.
Once that was done, I added a few rhinestones, and the card was complete! This may be one of my favorite color combinations ever! I love Berry Burst, and I think it looks great with any green we offer in our color collection! But I especially love it with Pear Pizzazz! I think the soft green and the deep pink look amazing together!

Thanks for visiting today! Have a great day!
Apparently, one of my darling
minions children messed with my alarm clock yesterday and changed the time for my alarm to go off! Needless to say, I got up late today, so this is going to have to be a short post for now! (Add one more thing to the list that I have to double check from now on! I’m starting to lose track!) LOL!
So anyway, for this card, I used Brusho and my Stampin’ Spritzer. I heat embossed the flower in white on water color paper using the Definitely Dahlia background stamp. Then I sprinkled the Prussian Blue Brusho crystals very lightly over the card. I didn’t want the color to be super dark, so I was very careful not to use too much! I then spritzed the water and let the crystals go wherever they were going to go! I let it sit for a minute or so, then dabbed with a paper towel to absorb some of the excess color and water. I then added a very small amount of the yellow crystals and repeated the above steps. I only wanted just a hint of yellow here and there, so I was very careful about where I put the yellow!
I wanted to keep this card very soft, so I mounted the finished top layer on whisper white and then on a Sahara Sand base. I added some Linen Thread, as well as a simple Thank You sentiment from the Eastern Beauty stamp set. And because I HAD to dress it up with just a little bit of bling, I added some of the very lightest Dapper Denim Glitter Enamel Dots in the corner:
Once again, I can’t tell you how much I LOVE the Brusho Crystals! They are a lot of fun to experiment with!
Now I gotta run so I can get my kids out the door on time! Hope to see you back soon!

With all of the excitement surrounding the Holiday Catalog, it’s easy to forget about the Annual Catalog for awhile! But there are still plenty of birthdays and other everyday occasions that need to be celebrated during the holiday season as well! Always have a card on hand for these occasions when you have the Soft Sayings Card Kit. This kit makes 20 beautiful everyday occasion cards (2 each of 10 different designs) including birthday, thank you, friendship, and more!
The colors on these cards are stunning! I love the combination of greens, yellows, pinks, and more on the softly watercolored backgrounds. The kit includes everything you need to complete the cards (with the exception of scissors and adhesive). To complete this kit, I recommend using glue dots, snail, and/or multipurpose glue.
The kit also includes 20 mix and match envelopes, watercolored to match the cards. And the cards are fast and easy to assemble. Full color instructions are included, so even if you are new to cardmaking, you can still easily complete this kit!
Need more than 20 cards? There’s a refill available! The refill includes everything in the full kit, except the stamps, ink, block, and box. For more information on this beautiful kit, please click here.
Who says you need to use traditional Fall colors with Fall themed sets? This card was made using the Count My Blessings stamp set, the Pick a Pumpkin Bundle, and one itty, bitty die from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits! An Aquapainter was used to make the watercolored background on Watercolor Paper using Island Indigo ink. I then stamped the Thinking of You sentiment in Night of Navy, and ran it through the Big Shot using the Stitched Shapes Framelits dies. I cut out the different leaves using dies from both the Patterned Pumpkins dies (which are part of the Pick a Pumpkin bundle, but can also be purchased separately) and the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. (It’s hard to tell, but the dark blue leaves are also stamped with a stamp from the Pick a Pumpkin stamp set!) I then assembled the card, adhered the sentiment piece with Dimensionals for a little extra detail, and embellished with a few pearls. Colors are Island Indigo, Sahara Sand, Night of Navy, Pear Pizzazz, and Whisper White!
