Color Fusers Blog Hop for March 2019

Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for March! Today we are featuring projects made with the following colors: Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Smoky Slate!

I used three different stamp sets on this card: Love What You Do, Touches of Texture, and Kindness & Compassion. I also used the Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Whisper White 1/8 inch Sheer Ribbon, and Pearl Basic Jewels.

The steps to create this card are as follows:

  1. Cut the card base from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and fold in half.
  2. Cut the middle layer from Smoky Slate cardstock.
  3. Cut the top layer from Whisper White on the Big Shot using the Stitched Rectangle Framelits.
  4. Ink up the watercolor image stamp from Love What You Do with Highland Heather ink and stamp off the ink one time. Then stamp onto the Whisper White piece.
  5. Stamp the floral image from Touches of Texture in Smoky Slate ink.
  6. Stamp the sentiment from Kindness & Compassion in Smoky Slate ink.
  7. Watercolor the flowers with Gorgeous Grape ink using an Aqua Painter. Set aside to dry.
  8. Stamp the floral images from Love What You Do in the corners of the card base in Gorgeous Grape ink.
  9. When dry, adhere the Whisper White top layer to the Smoky Slate middle layer with Snail Adhesive. Then apply to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  10. Make a small bow from the 1/8 inch Whisper White Sheer Ribbon and adhere with a glue dot.
  11. Color some small pearls from the Pearls Basics Jewels with a Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends marker and apply to the card.
  12. Stamp your envelope to match (if desired).

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Gorgeous Grape cardstock card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Smoky Slate cardstock middle layer: 3-1/2 x 4-7/8 inches

Whisper White top layer: 3-3/8 x 4-3/4 inches

Simple Stamping Sunday: Happy Tails

My laptop is still being fixed so it’s been a very limited week for posting, but I didn’t want to miss Simple Stamping Sunday! My card this week features the very cute Happy Tails stamp set. This set is perfect for anyone who loves dogs. It coordinates with the new Dog Builder Punch, and right now, both can be bundled for a savings of 10%!

For today’s card, I used a Whisper White notecard base and stamped the dog in black and white. I added the sentiment and heart in Real Red, as I love the combo of black, white, and red together. And that’s it! This card was so easy to make and is super cute!

I also made a stepped up version of this card that I will share sometime this week. Please check back soon! Thanks for visiting today!

Simple Stamping Sunday: Dear Doily

My laptop is in the shop for a bit and I have to post from my phone. So not sure how good this is going to work out, but here goes! 🙂

My card today was made with the Dear Doily stamp set. I used a Very Vanilla notecard as the base and used Sahara Sand, Pear Pizzazz, and Balmy Blue as my colors!

To stamp the background, I stamped off some of the ink twice before stamping the card. I wanted the doilies to be very faint. I then inked up my flower with Pear Pizzazz for the stem and Balmy Blue for the flowers. I went over the stem with my Pear Pizzazz marker to extend the color into the flowers. Last, I stamped the sentiments and the card was finished!

Remember, a Simple Stamping card uses only a single layer card base, one stamp set, and ink! But even with only those few basic supplies, you can still make beautiful cards!

Thanks for checking in today!

My Kids’ Valentine Craft Project

This past Saturday, I did a kids’ class at our local library. I had nine kids come with a parent, and the kids ranged in age from 7-11. We made a quick and easy Valentine’s Day craft, which included a card, small box of Hershey Kisses, and a small gift bag (not shown). It was so much fun!

Most of the supplies used in the class are current Stampin’ Up! products. I did use two retired products, but given the project, I thought they would be best to use. They are the Heart Punch used on the front of the card, and the Bow Builder Punch, which we used to make the little bow on top of the box. Otherwise, everything is current product!

The cards were made using the Whisper White Notecards and Envelopes. The kids were allowed to choose which background papers they wanted to use from the All My Love Designer Series Paper. They could also choose which colors they wished to use for the sentiments and hearts. I also brought a bunch of rhinestones and pearls for them to embellish as they wished!

The Tiny Treat Boxes were decorated by wrapping a 1 x 9 inch piece of DSP around the box and securing it on the bottom with a piece of tape. Each box holds 15 Hershey Kisses. The kids could mix and match the papers for the wrapper and bow, as well as the ink color for the tag. Some did everything in the same design, while others used as many different papers as they could. The best part though was that they all looked great because everything coordinated!

Measurements for this project are as follows:

Pre-cut notecard base: 3-1/2 x 5 inches

DSP background layer: 3-1/4 x 4-3/4 inches

DSP strip behind sentiment: 3-1/4 x 1-1/4 inches

Whisper White Sentiment piece: 3 x 4 inch piece (use to cut both the 2 inch circle for the card, as well as the 1-1/8 inch scallop circle for the box tag)

Flirty Flamingo/Lovely Lipstick cardstock piece for heart: 2 x 3 inches

The kids had a great time, and so did I! I work with kids in my day job, and I love working with them! I am hoping to do another class with them for Easter. If I do, I will be sure to post that project as well!

Thanks for checking in today! Have a great day!

Simple Stamping Sunday: All That You Are

For my Simple Stamping card this week, I used the All That You Are stamp set. To dress up my card a bit, I used an Uninked Spectrum Pad so that the main image was a blend of five different colors! The color combo I used is shown below:

This week, I used a Very Vanilla note card and envelope. I used Crumb Cake ink to stamp the sentiment. And that’s it! Super simple and QUICK to make!

I sent this card as a swap to members of my upline’s team. All of the cards were Simple Stamping cards, and once I know everyone has received them, I will post them all here! Please check back in the next week to see them!

Thanks for visiting today!

Today is the Last day to order for my Sale-a-Bration Special!

Hi! Today is the last day to place an order and participate in my Sale-a-Bration Special! I still have a couple of spots left, and it’s shaping up to be my best special yet!

Here are the details:

Submit an order to me of $50 or more (before tax and shipping) between February 1st and February 7th to participate in this offer.  All orders will be combined to make ONE large order, so that all of the benefits of the order can be shared among everyone!  Everyone who participates will receive at least 1 Free Sale-A-Bration (SAB) item, as well as at least $10 in free Stampin’ Up! products of YOUR CHOICE from any current catalog or the online store!  (Normally, orders do not qualify for rewards until they reach $150.  In this promotion, ANY order of $50 or more will receive rewards!) Stampin’ Up! gives rewards based on a percentage of the order, so the greater the final order, the greater the rewards!  Last year, everyone who participated got an extra SAB item and $20 in rewards, IN ADDITION to anything they had already earned from Stampin’ Up!  As of the time of the post, we are at 3 EXTRA Sale-a-Bration items and at least $25 in Stampin’ Rewards for those who order! That total could go up if more orders come in!

**Also everyone who orders $100 or more (before tax and shipping) during this year’s event will be entered into a drawing to win a free STAMPARATUS! You will receive one entry per $100 spent!**

Please note, February’s host code cannot be used with this offer.

Orders must be placed between February 1st – February 7th.  (Only orders placed directly through me are eligible for this offer.  Orders placed in my online store will not qualify.)  On February 8th, I will total the orders and let everyone know how many SAB items and rewards dollars they have earned.  I will then need everyone to get back to me by February 11th  with your choices for your extras.   Once I have received everyone’s final info and payment, I will place the order!   Payment may be made by cash, check, credit card, or PayPal.  Once the order is received, I will deliver to my local customers.  My online and out-of-state customers will have their orders shipped to them at no extra charge!

This is definitely going to be a great deal! Please contact me at with questions and let me know if I can add anything for you!

Color Fusers Blog Hop for February 2019

Today I have the privilege of joining a very talented group of demonstrators: The Color Fusers Design Team! I am very excited and honored to have been asked to join them! Each month, we will post a project created with a specific set of Stampin’ Up! colors. This month’s colors are Petal Pink, Poppy Parade, Early Espresso, Basic Black, and Whisper White.

My card today features a watercolor wash in Poppy Parade, and a large floral design heat embossed in black. I added a layer of Petal Pink between my top layer and base, which I made using Early Espresso. I did not have any Petal Pink ribbon, so I colored some 1/8 inch Whisper White Sheer Ribbon with my Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends. I LOVE how you can make your own embellishments with the Blends! In addition to ribbon, I have also colored pearls, rhinestones, epoxy shapes, and more! The card is finished with some Petal Pink pearls from the Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, and has a pretty die cut sentiment piece made with the Stitched Labels Framelits.

The stamp set I used for this card is called All That You Are, and it’s one of my favorite new stamp sets from the new Occasions Catalog! Here’s a peek at the full set:

The mix of images and sentiments make this a great set to have in your collection!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Early Espresso cardstock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Petal Pink middle layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Whisper White top layer: 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 inches

Die cut sentiment piece: 7/8 x 3 inches (approximate)

Thank so much for stopping by! Please be sure to visit the other stops on our hop today! Up next is Melissa Kerman, who always has something beautiful to share! 🙂

A Brusho Love You Card

My card today was made with the Large Letters Framelits and Brusho Crystal Color. I wanted to make a card that said LOVE with the color showing from underneath. I used Shimmery White card stock for the base and top layer, as well as Lovely Lipstick card stock for the middle layer and “YOU” piece. I also embellished with two NEW items from the All My Love Suite in the Occasions Catalog: the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack and the Heart Epoxy Droplets!

To make the colored portion of this card, I used a piece of Shimmery White card stock that was slightly smaller than my top layer. I tapped some of the Brilliant Red Brusho crystals onto the paper, spritzed it with a Stampin’ Spritzer, and then swirled it around a bit with an Aqua Painter. Once that was done, I set it aside to dry. While it was drying, I cut out the letters for “LOVE” on my Big Shot, as well as the “YOU” piece with the Celebrate You Thinlits. Once the colored layer was completely dry, I assembled the card using Snail adhesive and Dimensionals.

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Shimmery White card stock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Lovely Lipstick middle layer: 4 x 5-1/4 inches

Shimmery White under layer: 3-1/2 x 3-3/4 inches (approximate)

Shimmery White top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Lovely Lipstick “YOU” die cut: 3/4 x 1-3/4 inches

There is no stamping on this card as of now, however, when I eventually send it to someone, I will probably stamp a sentiment on the inside! Hope you like it! Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Another Butterfly Beauty Project!

Last week, I posted a card I made with the NEW Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies. There are two large dies in the set that layer together to make five, detailed, interconnected butterflies. For my card last week, I trimmed off the four smaller butterflies and used just the one large center one. Here’s what that card looked like in case you missed it:

And here’s what the thinlits dies look like:

I used the first large die to cut out the bottom layer in Powder Pink, and then used the second large die to cut out the detail in Sparkle Glimmer Paper.

After I made last week’s card, I held on to the four smaller butterflies that were trimmed off, and used two of them on my card for today! Other products featured on this card include the All My Love Designer Series Paper, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, and Gingham Gala Sequins!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Whisper White card stock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

DSP strip: 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches

Whisper White Stitched Rectangle layer: 2-5/8 x 4 inches

Small Butterfly: 1-1/4 x 1-1/2 inches (approximate)

Larger Butterfly: 2 x 1-3/4 inches (approximate)

And after two projects, I still have two more butterflies to use from that original die cut! So please be sure to check back soon to see how I use those as well!

Thanks for visiting today! Have a great day!

Simple Stamping Sunday: Humming Along

For this week’s Simple Stamping Sunday card, I used the Humming Along stamp set. This set was one that I received when I attended OnStage in Orlando in November. I love the big bold flower and the detailed hummingbird. I also like the simply stated sentiments! The black lines of this set make it perfect for coloring with Stampin’ Blends Markers, which is what I used to add most of the color on this card!

You can see the whole Humming Along stamp set below:

It really is a beautiful set!

Here’s the color combo I used:

The following supplies were used to make this card:

  • Humming Along stamp set
  • Very Vanilla Notecards and Envelopes
  • Memento Tuxedo Black Ink pad
  • Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack
  • Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack
  • Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Markers Combo Pack
  • Grapefruit Grove Ink Refill
  • Aqua Painter

Instructions for making this card are as follows:

  1. Stamp the flower and sentiment in Tuxedo Black Memento ink. Let dry.
  2. Color the flower in Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. Color the center stamen of the plant with Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends.
  3. Add one drop of Grapefruit Grove ink refill to a clean stamping block. Drop a few drops of water onto the block with an Aqua painter and swirl together to mix.
  4. Use the wet Aqua Painter to splatter ink spots from the bottom right corner up to the upper left corner of the card. Let dry.
  5. Stamp and color the envelope to match (if desired).

And that’s it! It’s that simple!

Even with only a few basic supplies, you can make really beautiful cards! I hope you’ll give Simple Stamping a try!
