Bold Floral Card with TWO of My Favorite Occasions Products!

Today’s card features two of my favorite NEW Occasions products: the Beautiful Day stamp set and Brusho Crystal Color watercolor crystals!

The new Beautiful Day stamp set features five rubber stamps, including a large butterfly, a large flower, two sentiments, and an accent stamp.  It’s available in both wood mount and clear mount, and will be available to order starting January 3rd!  For this card, I used the flower stamp, along with a sentiment from a different set called Petal Palette (also a new Occasions product!)  Here’s a peek at the full Beautiful Day set:

To start, I heat embossed the flower in white embossing powder on watercolor paper.  I then applied the Brusho, and colored with an Aquapainter to get the bright, bold colors!  (I am not going to talk too much about the Brusho today, as I plan to do a whole post about it tomorrow.  I hope you’ll check back for the details then!)  But I will say this: it is SUCH a fun product to use!  If you love watercoloring, or love how watercoloring looks on projects, you are definitely going to want to give it a try!

Here’s a peek at the Brusho packaging:

Don’t let the plain black and white packaging fool you!  There’s a whole bunch of color in that unassuming little box!

Once the flower was colored and dry, I layered the top layer of the card with Real Red cardstock on a Basic Black base, stamped the sentiment from Petal Palette in black, and added some leaves in Lemon Lime Twist.  (I stamped and punched the leaves with the Painted Harvest Bundle, and used Versamark ink on the veins of the leaves, just to add a hint of detail.)  The flower was fussy cut with Paper Snips, and applied to the card with Dimensionals, so it pops off the card a bit and really stands out!

Tomorrow’s post will be all about Brusho!  Hope you’ll check back to learn more about this new product and how fun it can be to use!  Have a great day!

Bubble Over Bundle OnStage Card

Yesterday, I was unable to post because we were having some technical difficulties!  Hopefully, the issues have been resolved!  I had planned to show this card yesterday, but will have to show it today instead!

So here’s a bright, colorful, FUN card that I made in November using new Occasions products!  It features items from the new Bubble Over Bundle.  This bundle includes a 17 piece photopolymer stamp set called Bubble Over, as well as a 19 piece cutting die set called Bottles & Bubbles Framelits.  Of course, both items are available separately, but you can save 10% by purchasing them together as the bundle!  This card also features a coordinating FREE Sale-a-Bration item, available only with a purchase of $50 or more (before tax and shipping).  That item is the Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper, and can be found on page 13 of the Sale-a-Bration brochure!  Here’s a closer look at the new products:

Bubble Over Bundle

This bundle includes both the stamp set and coordinating dies shown above!  The stamp set is photopolymer.  As mentioned above, both items are available separately as well, but if you want both, you can save 10% by purchasing the bundle!

Bubbles & Fizz Designer Series Paper

This paper is only available with a $50 purchase (before tax and shipping)!  It contains 12 fun prints that coordinate perfectly with the Bubble Over Bundle!  Colors include Basic Gray, Bermuda Bay, Calypso Coral, Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, and Whisper White.

Glitter & Clear Epoxy Shapes

These are sure to be one of my favorite new embellishments!  There are 176 adhesive backed accents in both teardrop and circle shapes.  Some are clear and others are clear with a hint of glitter!  These were used on the card above to make little bubbles coming out of the top of the bottle.  Here’s a closeup:

Isn’t this such a cute card?  Don’t forget, all new Occasions products are available starting January 3rd!

Thanks for checking in today!

Introducing the NEW Petal Passion Suite!

Today I have a project that I created when I went to OnStage in Salt Lake City in November!  It uses products from the Petal Passion Suite, which is one of seven new suites in the 2018 Occasions Catalog!  This card features four new products from the suite.  They are the Petal Palette stamp set, Petal Passion Designer Series Paper, Whisper White 1/4 inch Organza Ribbon, and Petal Passion Embellishments.  All of these products will be available beginning January 3rd when the Occasions Catalog goes live!

Here’s a closer look at each of the new products used on this card:

Petal Palette Stamp Set

The Petal Palette stamp set contains 15 rubber stamps, and is available in both Clear Mount and Wood Mount.  There are also coordinating cutting dies available for this set (not shown).  The stamps and dies will be available separately or together as a bundle when the catalog goes live.  The bundle will save you 10% over the price of both individually!

Petal Passion Designer Series Paper

I love the new Petal Passion DSP!  There are twelve different black and white designs that look gorgeous as is OR with added color from any one of Stampin’ Up’s many coloring products!  If I remember corrrectly, we used a Stampin’ Write Marker to color in some of the flowers at OnStage.  I can’t wait to use this paper in more projects!

Petal Passion Embellishments

I LOVE these adorable silver embellishments!  They come in a package of 24, and you get 12 each of two designs. There is the flower that was used on the card, as well as leaves.  The original sample at OnStage used the leaves, but I switched them out for the flower!  I am sure I will be using a lot of these on future projects!

Whisper White 1/4″ Organza Ribbon

This ribbon is super versatile. The size and color makes it perfect for use on almost any project!  The ribbon is 1/4 inch wide and comes 10 yards to a roll.  I have a feeling I will be using a lot of this as well!

I hope you’ve enjoyed this first sneak peek at new Occasions products.  They will all be available starting January 3rd!

Enjoy your day, and please check back tomorrow for another fun Occasions project!

Everything You Need to Know About Occasions and Sale-a-Bration 2018

Occasions 2018 is right around the corner!  The catalog ordering period begins January 3rd, which is the day after the current Holiday Catalog retires.  While I am sad to see the Holiday Catalog go, I am super excited about all of the new products in the new catalog!  The new stamp sets, papers, accessories, and coloring tools are sure to inspire some beautiful creations!  There are seven gorgeous new suites, with each suite containing stamps, ink, papers, embellishments, and accessories all designed to perfectly coordinate.  Perfect coordination is one of the things I love most about Stampin’ Up!  They take all of the guesswork out of trying to figure out if colors, papers, and designs will look good together.  How many times have you stood in a craft store trying to match ink, paper, and accessories, not knowing for sure if they’ll actually match?  And then you get home and you realize they really don’t look that great when put together?  This used to happen to me ALL THE TIME!  When Stampin’ Up! puts products together, you KNOW they’ll look great! Not only do they handle all of the coordination for you, they also provide lots of colorful samples in their catalogs so you can actually SEE all of the products together.  That is something you definitely don’t get in a craft store!

Some of the occasions featured in the new catalog include Valentine’s Day, Easter, Mother’s Day, and Father’s Day, as well as new items for everyday occasions like birthdays, congratulations, weddings, thank yous, and more!  There is definitely something for everyone in this catalog!  You are going to love it!  🙂

Along with the new Occasions Catalog comes the start of Sale-a-Bration!  Sale-a-Bration is Stampin’ Up’s biggest and best promotion of the year!  It runs from January 3rd-March 31st.  For every $50 you spend (before tax and shipping), you get to choose a FREE product from the Sale-a-Bration brochure!  There is no limit to have many free items you can earn, or how many orders you can earn them on during Sale-a-Bration…EVERY qualifying order between 1/3 and 3/31 will get you free products!   There is also a NEW prize level this year…a $100 level!  So if you have an order of $100 (before tax and shipping), you can either choose two $50 level items OR one $100 level item!  This is something totally new that Stampin’ Up! is trying this year, and it’s sure to be a hit!

Here’s a brief rundown of what the choices are for Sale-a-Bration this year:

$50 Choices

6 stamp sets

1 Designer Series Paper pack

1 card kit

1 ribbon pack

1 Memories and More card set

1 cards and matching envelopes set

$100 Choices

1 thinlits dies set

1 stamp set

Unfortunately, I can’t show you actual images of ANY of these items from the catalogs just yet, but stay tuned for some projects that use them very soon!

You can also earn extra Stampin’ Rewards during Sale-a-Bration!  Stampin’ Rewards = FREE STUFF!  Here’s how it works:

Stampin’ Rewards are earned on orders or workshops of $150 or more (before tax and shipping).  The percentage goes up the larger the total: at $150, you earn 10% in rewards, at $300 you earn 12%, at $450 you earn 14%, and at $600 or more you earn 16%.  (At $450 or more you also get to choose any item in the catalog for 1/2 off!)  However, during Sale-a-Bration, with a purchase or workshop of $250 or more (before tax and shipping), you ALSO earn an EXTRA $25 in rewards!  So normally an order of that size would earn 10%, or $25 in rewards.  During Sale-a-Bration you earn that, plus another $25, for a total of $50 in rewards!  You also get to choose FIVE $50 Sale-a-Bration items (or a combination of $100 items and $50 items depending on your choices!)  So you can see how Sale-a-Bration is a great time to place an order or host a workshop!  It’s really a GREAT value for your money!

And finally, Sale-a-Bration is also a GREAT time to join Stampin’ Up!  In addition to the regular $125 starter kit for only $99, you get to choose ANY two additional stamp sets for FREE!  This can be an added value of up to $101 depending on which sets you choose.  You also get business supplies worth $65 AND it all ships directly to you for FREE.  With the $12.50 you save on shipping, the total value of your starter kit during Sale-a-Bration could be as much as $302!  But you will pay only $99! That’s a great deal no matter how you look at it!  Being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is SO much easier than you think, and it’s so much fun!  You get all of the great products you already love for 20% off  (which can increase to 25% later on), plus you get access to new catalogs and products a full month before anyone else!  You also get access to exclusive content, promotions, and events that are only available to demonstrators. And you can try it all for up to six months during Sale-a-Bration with no risk and no obligation other than your starter kit!  Why not give it a try?  Please contact me for more info!  Or click HERE to join!  I welcome hobby demonstrators, and would LOVE to welcome you to my team!  🙂

If you have actually made it this far, THANK YOU!  As you can see, I am really excited about Sale-a-Bration this year!  I hope you are too!  Please contact me with any questions you have, and enjoy the rest of your weekend!

It’s Almost Time for Occasions and Sale-a-Bration!

Occasions Catalogs and Sale-a-Bration brochures are in the mail and should be arriving in customers’ mailboxes sometime next week!  Both contain amazing new products that you are all going to LOVE!  The colors and designs of some of the new items are simply beautiful and are sure to brighten those dull, dreary days of winter! (Those of us in cold, snowy climates definitely could use a boost some days, right?!)

One of my favorite products for any project is Designer Series Paper!  Adding patterned paper to a project can really make it pop, whether it’s a card, gift box, tag, or well, anything really!  And there are some beautiful new Designer Series Papers available in the both the Occasions Catalog, as well as the Sale-a-Bration brochure.  (So YES, there is actually a new paper that you can earn for FREE with a qualifying purchase!  And it’s bright and colorful and FUN!)

Today, I would like to share with you a video that gives a sneak peek at ALL of the new papers available in the new Occasions Catalog.  (Unfortunately, the new Sale-a-Bration paper is NOT shown.  You’ll have to wait until you get your Sale-a-Bration brochure to get a look at that one.)  Enjoy!

Aren’t they just gorgeous?  I cannot wait to start making new projects with these!  All of these will be available for purchase starting January 3rd in the online store.  I hope you like them as much as I do! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
