Twila Davis is our designer for this week’s 3D Thursday project, and she has created this adorable Mario Valentine’s Treat Holder:

Aren’t these so cute? She made them with her grandson for his class at school. My boys are HUGE fans of Mario, and they would LOVE these! They perfectly coordinate with the little Valentine’s treat she found to go inside:

I am sure his classmates will absolutely love them!

3D Thursday: Dinosaur Tin Playset

It’s Thursday! And wait until you see what teammate Twila Davis has created for this week’s 3D Thursday project! It’s so fun! Ready? ….

I am definitely a Tic Tac girl, but I think I am going to have grab some Altoids just so I can make these for my boys! Twila used an empty Altoids tin, items from Stampin’ Up’s Dinoroar Suite, as well as some dollar store plastic dinosaurs to make this project. Here’s what it looks like when it’s closed:

I wonder if making this with my boys could count toward their art class during quarantine? I will have to check with their teacher! ūüėČ

If you would like to download Twila’s instruction sheet, you can click HERE or click on the image below:

You can view the entire Dinoroar Suite in the online store HERE. While you’re there, be sure to check out the online Clearance Rack too. It was just restocked this week with some GREAT deals!

Thank you for visiting today! Stay safe and well!

The (Punch Art) Aliens Are Coming!

My card for today was actually made for a Facebook hop I participated in last night!¬† The theme was kids’ cards, and I decided to go with aliens, as Max and Luca are obsessed with space right now!¬† Luca LOVES Star Wars and Max loves Power Rangers in Space!¬† I was actually scrolling through Pinterest and found a cute picture of some aliens, and decided that I would base mine on the picture.¬† Here’s what the original picture looked like:

To make this card, I used an assortment of punches and framelits.  I will list exactly what I used for each below.

For the orange alien with the purple hair:

  • Layering Ovals Framelits
  • Fox Builder Punch (for the hair)
  • 1/2 inch circle punch
  • Cookie Cutter Builder Punch

For the green alien:

  • Layering Ovals Framelits
  • Fox Builder Punch (for the horns)
  • 1/2 inch circle punch
  • Cookie Cutter Builder Punch

For the blue alien:

  • 1 inch circle punch
  • 1/2 inch circle punch
  • Cookie Cutter Builder Punch

All of the legs were free cut using paper snips, and all the feet are just 1/2 inch circle punch outs cut in half!

The star print background is from the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper.  To create the sentiment, I used the Labeler Alphabet stamp set.  I stamped each letter in  Basic Gray ink and then hand trimmed them with Paper Snips.  They are adhered to the card with Mini Glue Dots!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Night of Navy cardstock card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

DSP background layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Orange Alien:  2-3/8 x 1-1/2 inches  (Oval for body measures 7/8 x 1-3/4 inches)

Green Alien:  2-1/4 x 1-3/4 inches  (Oval for body measures 1 x 2 inches)

Blue Alien:  1-1/2 x 3 inches  (Circle for body measures 1 inch in diameter)

Stamped letters:  3/8 x 3/8 inch (approximate)

The card is finished with some Wink of Stella on the purple hair, as well as some silver metallic stars from the Twinkle Adhesive Backed Sequins!¬† Also, the mouth on each alien was hand drawn with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker.

Punch art cards take a little longer to make, but they are so much fun to create!¬† If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!¬† Thanks for stopping by today!

Another Little Elephant Project

Yesterday, I shared some cupcake toppers made with the Little Elephant Bundle.¬† It reminded me that I had a really cute card made with the same bundle that I haven’t shared yet.¬† So I am sharing it today!¬† I made this card at my friend Sherri Everett’s event in July.¬† It was one of ten cards I made, and is definitely one of my favorites!¬† Like yesterday’s project, it features the Little Elephant Bundle, and uses both the stamp set as well as the punch.¬† It also features the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper!

Colors for this card are Petal Pink, Gray Granite, and Whisper White.¬† The tag is from the Wood Crate Framelits, and it’s embellished with a tiny bow made with the Silver and Petal Pink Baker’s Twine!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Whisper White cardstock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Petal Pink cardstock middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

DSP top layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

Petal Pink Stitched Circle backing layer:  2-7/16 inches in diameter

Whisper White circle:  2-1/8 inches in diameter

Elephant piece:  1-11/16 x 1-1/16 inch

Gray Granite tag:  3/4 x 1-1/4 inch

I just love this bundle!¬† I think it’s so cute for babies and kids!¬† And it’s a perfect match for the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, as it has pinks, blues, greens, and some neutrals, perfect for any color decor!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project!¬† Thanks for stopping by!

Animal Outing New Baby Card

It’s been awhile since I’ve made a baby card!¬† As I was going through my new stuff today, I saw my Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam card stock next to each other and thought they looked really pretty together.¬† Then I saw my Animal Outing stamp set, and this is what came to mind.¬† Green is my favorite color, and I love these two shades together for babies!

The rhino was colored with light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, the little bird was colored with light and dark Bermuda Bay ones, and the rhino’s horn was colored with the Ivory marker.¬† I framed him with Stitched Shapes Framelits, and layered him with a large scalloped circle cut with the Layering Circles Framelits.

The sentiment is actually two different stamps from the Animal Outing set.¬† I placed them both on the same block and stamped them together, but even though I put them as close together as I could, there was more space between the two words than I would have liked.¬† Instead of redoing it, I pulled out my Pick a Pennant set and stamped the tiny heart in between them in Blushing Bride ink.¬† It was the perfect size and perfect way to fill that extra bit of space!¬† I also went over the heart with Clear Wink of Stella for just a bit of shimmer (though it’s hard to see from the pics.)

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Mint Macaron card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 and folded in half)

Whisper White middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Soft Sea Foam top layer: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Mint Macaron scalloped circle:  3-1/8 inches in diameter

White stitched circle:  2-15/16 inches in diameter

Small scalloped sentiment piece: 1-3/8 inches in diameter

I love the colors and images on this card!  (I really love the whole new subtles collection actually!)  The soft colors are perfect for baby projects!

If you have any questions about this card, please let me know!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

No Bones About It Card

I have two small boys.  They are 3 and 6!  At any given time, the conversation in our house inevitably involves Star Wars, construction equipment, Legos, or dinosaurs!  This card was made with my boys in mind.  It features the No Bones About It stamp set and the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper.  The color palette for this card is:

Of course, Whisper White is in there as well! The No Bones About It stamp set includes 18 photopolymer stamps.  It contains 4 different dinosaurs, as well as coordinating skeletons/bones for each.  It also includes tracks, leaves, dots, and some sentiments!  Here is what is included in the full set:

The measurements for this card are as follows:
Emerald Envy card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)
Night of Navy middle layer:  5-1/4 x 4 inches
Naturally Eclectic DSP top layer:  5-1/8 x 3-7/8 inches
Whisper White scraps for Stitched Shapes circles and dinosaur piece

This card was fun to make!¬† I need to use this set more often!¬† It’s a simple design, but my kids loved it when I showed them.¬† Now I need to make another one so they can each have one!
Thanks for stopping by!  Enjoy your day!
