See Ya Later, Alligator, with Pick a Pennant and Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper

Let’s start the week off with something fun!  This card was made using the Pick a Pennant Bundle and Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper!  Colors are Call Me Clover, Crushed Curry, Lemon Lime Twist, and Flirty Flamingo.

The Pick a Pennant Bundle contains both the Pick a Pennant Photopolymer Stamp Set, as well as the Playful Pennants Framelits Dies.  Both items are also available separately, but you can save 10% if you purchase both together as the bundle!  The stamp set contains 76 stamps, and there are 8 dies in the coordinating die set:

The alligator on this card was fussy cut from the Animal Expedition Designer Series Paper.  This paper is part of the Buy 3, Get 1 FREE Designer Series Paper sale, still going on for one more day!  This fun paper has not only alligators (they might be crocodiles, but today, we’re going to assume they’re alligators 😉 ), it also has lots of other cute animals as well!  The package contains 12 double sided 12 x 12 sheets.  Six of the designs feature fun animal prints, and the other six are bright, fun patterns:

Quick and Easy In Color Cards

Recently, I needed to make a bunch of cards I could send as customer thank yous, as well as for customers who won prizes in their new catalogs.  So I needed something quick and easy!  I came up with these, using all new products from the new Annual Catalog!  Each card is virtually identical to the next, with the exception of the color.  I used the new In Colors and made a few of each color.  They were perfect for what I needed, and I was able to make a bunch in a very short amount of time!

Call Me Clover

Blueberry Bushel

Products used on these cards include:

  • 2018-2020 In Color Cardstock and Ink Pads

  • 2018-2020 In Color 1/8″ Grosgrain Ribbon
  • Stitched Label Framelits

Whisper White middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

In Color DSP layer: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Whisper White sentiment piece:  3-3/8 x 2-3/4 inches

All of the products used on these cards are now available in the online store!  These cards can very easily be switched up for ANY occasion, just by switching the sentiment!  Click the image below to shop the online store today!  (Or click the individual product images at the bottom of this post for specific items!)

Tonight, I will also be posting a bonus post here at 8:00 pm Eastern Time.  I will be participating in a team Facebook hop, and all of our projects will be Father’s Day/Masculine themed!  I hope you’ll check back in to see all of our creations!  I will post a link here on my blog so that you can start on my page and just hop through the rest!

An Animal Outing Birthday

I received the new Animal Outing stamp set last month at OnStage, but haven’t had a chance to use it until this weekend!  I wasn’t sure what I wanted to make with it, but I got the idea to make this card when I was looking through my punches and saw the Balloon Bouquet one.  I thought of using the new In Colors for the balloons, and wanted to have an animal holding them.  My first thought was to use either a cat from the Pretty Kitty set, or a dog from the Bella & Friends set, but then I remembered that I had the Animal Outing set, and thought it was time to finally pull it out and use it!

I just love this new set!  It contains 10 stamps, with a nice combination of images and sentiments.  Here’s what the full set looks like:

To make this card, I stamped the kangaroo in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and then colored the kangaroo with both light and dark Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I also colored the koala in her pouch with the light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.  I punched the balloons from the new 2018-2020 In Color Designer Series Paper Stack, then adhered them to the panel with Snail adhesive.  I used a Black Stampin’ Write marker to draw the strings.

I then used two stamps from the Happy Birthday Gorgeous stamp set for the sentiments.  I stamped the “Hip Hip Hooray” on the front, and then the “It’s Your Day” stamp on the inside.  I stamped both in the same Memento ink as the kangaroo:

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Basic Black cardstock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Whisper White top layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches (you also need another one of these for the inside of the card!)

DSP pieces: 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches each

The Animal Outing set will be available on June 1st!  Do you have your new catalog yet?  If not, contact me and I will be happy to send one to you!

Thank you for visiting today!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Last Week’s Facebook Poll: Blueberry Bushel wins!

Last week on my Facebook page, I posted a poll asking for my Facebook followers to vote for their favorite NEW In Color, and the winner was BLUEBERRY BUSHEL!  This gorgeous new color is one of the five new In Colors for 2018-2020, and will be available in the NEW Annual Catalog beginning June 1st!  Here’s a peek at all five colors:

As part of the Facebook poll, I said that I would make a project featuring the winning color, and post it today.  This is what I came up with!  I used the Beautiful Day stamp set, as well as Flourishing Phrases for the “Just a Note” sentiment.  To make this card, I used Shimmery White card stock for the top layer, Basic Black for the middle layer, and Blueberry Bushel for the base.  I stamped the butterfly in Staz On Black ink, then set aside for a few minutes to dry.  Once it was dry, I used an Aqua Painter to fill in the butterfly with Blueberry Bushel ink.  I wanted there to be noticeable variation in the color, so I let the color run almost completely out before I added more ink to the brush.  I then went back in to add a little more in certain spots when I was finished, until I got the look I wanted.  (When using water on Shimmery White card stock, it’s important not to use too much, as the card stock will warp!)

Once the image was dry, I assembled the card using Snail adhesive.  I then stamped the sentiment in Blueberry Bushel ink and added some Rhinestone Basic Jewels to finish it off.  At that point, I thought I was done, but I felt it needed something else.  So I pulled out my Clear Wink of Stella glitter brush and very lightly went over the lines of the butterfly, as well as a few sections of the wings!  Take a peek at how pretty the glitter looks!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Blueberry Bushel card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Basic Black middle layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

Shimmery White top layer:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8 inches

This is the first of many projects that I will be making using the new In Colors!  The colors are good for two years, and are one of my favorite In Color palettes to be released in a long time!  I really love the bold, bright hues of this group, so I plan to start using them quite a bit ASAP!  Last year, I dedicated a week of posts to the new colors, where I featured a different color each day.  I hope to be able to do something similar with the new colors this year!  Please stay tuned for those projects soon!

If you have any questions about the new colors, or anything else, please feel free to ask!

Thanks for visiting today!  Have a great day!

Share What You Love Suite Early Release Begins May 1st

Over the past couple of weeks I have shared a number of projects I created using a brand new stamp set called the Love What You Do stamp set.  It is definitely my favorite of the three sets that I received for my OnStage display board!  I only received the stamp set, but it is actually part of an entire suite of products that is going to be released on May 1st to customers, a WHOLE MONTH before the Annual Catalog goes live on June 1st!  For the early release, the stamp set will be available as part of three exclusive bundles which will ONLY be available during the month of May.  Once the catalog ordering period begins on June 1st, everything in the bundles will still be available, but will only be available separately.  Each bundle also includes at least one FREE GIFT when purchased during the early release, which makes this offer even sweeter!  So let’s take a peek at each of the bundles and what is included in each:

The Just Getting Started Bundle

This bundle is the most basic of the three, and is perfect for beginning stampers!  It includes a free gift of Very Vanilla Note Cards and Envelopes (a $6.50 value)!  This bundle costs $57.00 (before tax and shipping), and the item number is 149524.

The A Little More, Please Bundle

This bundle is a bit of a step up from the first and includes TWO stamp sets, as well as TWO free gifts: a package of Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes AND the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit (an $18.00 combined value)!  This bundle costs $91.50 (before tax and shipping), and the item number is 149525.

The Gotta Have it All Bundle

This is the most inclusive bundle available and includes THREE free gifts!  The free gifts include the two gifts from the previous bundle, as well as an exclusive stamp called the Statement of My Heart Stamp (a $30.00 combined value).  This bundle costs $127.50 (before tax and shipping), and the item number is 149526.

2018-2020 In Color Ink Pads Bundle

In addition to the three Share What You Love bundles, the early release also includes a bundle of the NEW 2018-2020 In Color Ink Pads!  Get all FIVE colors in the NEW ink pad style for only $33.75, which is a savings of 10% off the cost of them separately!  This is a great way to get the new colors early AND save a bit of money at the same time!  The item number for the In Color ink pad bundle is 147153.

So there you have it!  Which one(s) will you choose?  All of these bundles are available for purchase starting May 1st!  They may be ordered in the online store, or directly through me via email at nicollebelesimo@gmail.com!  If you are a new customer, purchasing any of these bundles through me will also guarantee you a copy of the NEW Annual Catalog, which will be delivered sometime in mid-May!  I would love to add you to my list!  If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!  🙂

Enjoy your day!

Get Retiring In Colors While You Can!

On May 31st, the 2017-2018 Annual Catalog will retire.  Many items will retire along with it, including stamp sets, accessories, embellishments, and more!  Although it is always sad to see favorite products retire each year, it is necessary to keep things fresh, as well as make room for all the new and exciting products that will be released when the NEW catalog comes out June 1st!  One of the most sought after products that retire each year are the retiring In Colors.  This year’s colors are among my favorites, and I am so sad to see them go!  So why am I mentioning this NOW, when there are still two and a half months left until the catalog retires?  Because once the retiring list is officially announced, everything retiring reverts to “WHILE SUPPLIES LAST” status, and there WILL be a run on these colors.  It happens EVERY YEAR!  So to avoid disappointment later, I suggest stocking up on your favorites NOW, while there are still plenty available!

So which colors are officially retiring?  They are:

Which products are retiring?  ANY product that contains these colors.  So while the most obvious products are the ink pads, cardstock, markers, ribbon, etc., that also means that any accessories, washi tape, Designer Series Paper, embellishments, etc. that contain these colors will also retire as well!

To see the full line of 2016-2018 In Color products, please click HERE to visit the online store and shop!

Stock up by March 31st, spend $50 or more, and get FREE Sale-a-Bration items as well!

If you have any questions about retiring products, please feel free to ask!

Petal Palette Bundle Swap Card

Today’s card is a card I made for a swap I participated in with my team.  There were 14 of us, and we all used different stamps/bundles to make our cards.  I chose the Petal Palette Bundle for mine!  The bundle comes with the Petal Palette stamp set as well as the Petals & More Thinlits dies, and of course, you save 10% when you purchase the bundle!  Here’s a picture from the catalog:

To make this card, I used a Thick Whisper White card base, and layered Berry Burst with regular Whisper White on top.  I then used an aquapainter to spatter some Berry Burst ink from the bottom right corner up to the top left.  While that dried, I cut out my background die cuts.  I used the large leaves and vine die, as well as the trellis looking one.  I cut two of the vine one, one from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and one from Vellum.  On all of the die cuts I used the Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets on the back before cutting.  I absolutely LOVE these sheets!  I think they are so much easier to use than glue.  I always make a huge mess with glue, no matter how careful I am, so the adhesive sheets have been a real lifesaver for me!  I adhered the vellum die cut first, then the Pear Pizzazz over it, and kind of off centered from each other, as I wanted the vellum one to be almost a shadow behind the green one.

Once those were on, I applied the trellis one across the middle of the card.  I stamped the flowers and sentiment in Basic Black, and colored the flowers with aquapainters in Berry Burst and Pear Pizzazz.  After they were dry, I cut the flowers out with the coordinating die from the set, and cut the sentiment out with one of the circles from the Stitched Shapes Framelits.  The flowers were adhered with glue dots, and the sentiment piece with dimensionals.

Once that was done, I added a few rhinestones, and the card was complete!  This may be one of my favorite color combinations ever!  I love Berry Burst, and I think it looks great with any green we offer in our color collection!  But I especially love it with Pear Pizzazz!   I think the soft green and the deep pink look amazing together!

You can find all of the products to make this card in the online store!  Click here to check them out!

Thanks for visiting today!  Have a great day!

Another Daisy Delight Thank You

Here is another card we made last weekend at my World Card Making Day event!  This one has the same layout as the one I made for my customer thank yous for September.  You can take a peek at that card here.  For this one, I just switched up the colors and materials a bit!  This one features Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist as the main colors, along with Whisper White and a touch of Daffodil Delight.  I used the Daisy Punch to make the daisy, but on this card, I left the petals completely white.  The Daisy Delight stamp set has a stamp that you can use to stamp lines on the petals to give them a bit of a textured look, but for this card, I chose to leave them plain. The background of the card was made with the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The thank you sentiment is from the Daisy Delight stamp set, which can be purchased as a bundle with the Daisy Punch for a savings of 10%!

Thanks for checking in today!  Have a great weekend!
