My Simple Stamping card for today was made with the Dandelion Wishes stamp set! It also uses Soft Sea Foam, Pool Party, and StazOn Black inks.
Both the image and sentiment are from the same stamp set. One of the guidelines of a Simple Stamping card is to use only ONE stamp set. To review, the full guidelines are: one stamp set, a notecard base, and ink. That’s it!
In addition to the three products above, I also used an Aqua Painter to add a very light watercolor wash to the background. I wanted to dress it up at least a little bit!
So that’s it for today! Simple cards need only simple posts! 🙂
Thanks so much for stopping by today! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
Today’s project features the Petals & More Thinlits Dies, as well as the Sheet Music Background Stamp and Wood Textures Designer Series Paper. The get well sentiment is from Teeny Tiny Wishes. One color I don’t use a lot is yellow, so for this card I decided to go with yellow flowers, (or more specifically, So Saffron!) This card was specifically made for a team member who recently had surgery. I hope she likes it!
Measurements for this card are as follows:
Thick Whisper White Cardstock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half.)
White Wood Texture DSP layer: 4 x 5-1/4 inches
Crumb Cake Layer: 3-1/8 x 4-1/8 inches
Whisper White top layer: 3 x 4 inches
For the die cuts, I used mostly scraps from my scrap bins in the following colors: Pear Pizzazz, Wild Wasabi, Vellum, So Saffron, and Whisper White.
All of the die cuts were applied with Multipurpose Glue lightly sponged on the back with 1/4 of a Stampin’ Sponge (they are super easy to cut into pieces!) The vines and leaves were all adhered with the glue. The flowers were adhered with thin strips of Stampin’ Dimensionals to give them a little height and dimension. I finished it off by wrapping linen thread around the layers, and applying some pearls to the centers of the flowers!
And last but not least, the sentiment piece was stamped in Soft Suede and punched with the Classic Label punch! I have to admit, this card was a little labor intensive, but I love the end result!
Thanks for visiting today! Have a great day!
