Color Fusers Blog Hop for September 2021

It’s time for our September Color Fusers Blog hop! This month, we have a special combo, where each designer can use any color we choose with black and white! I LOVE black and white on it’s own, but I also love adding a pop of color as well. One of my favorite colors to use with black and white is Cherry Cobbler, so I decided to go with that!

One of my favorite bundles from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog is the Color & Contour Bundle. I have used this bundle more than any other since the new catalog came out! The bundle includes both the Color & Contour Photopolymer stamp set, as well as the Scalloped Contour Dies. The dies include dies to cut the flowers in the stamp set, but also includes a nice selection of scalloped edge layering pieces that look great on any project! Take a look at the full bundle below:

To make my card, I used Basic Black cardstock for the base. I added a Basic White middle layer, and Cherry Cobbler top layer. I stamped three flowers onto the right side of the Cherry Cobbler piece in Cherry Cobbler ink, then stamped one in StazOn Black onto a small piece of white. I stamped over the black outline with the fill in stamp in Cherry Cobbler ink, and then cut out the flower on my Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine, as well as the Basic White scalloped rectangle. I assembled the white layers with the Cherry Cobbler, wrapped a piece of the Black and White Gingham 1/4″ ribbon around it, and tied a bow. I then adhered everything to the base. Next, I added the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals, stamped the sentiment (from the Biggest Wish Photopolymer Stamp Set), and punched it with the Double Oval Punch. I then adhered the sentiment with dimensionals as well. Finally, I added a few rhinestones, and the card was complete!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Basic Black cardstock card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Basic White cardstock middle layer: 4 x 5-1/4 inches

Cherry Cobbler cardstock top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Basic White scalloped layer: 2-1/4 x 3-3/4 inches

Basic White scraps for flower and sentiment piece

Please continue on to the next stop on our hop this month which is Melanie Hockin’s page! I’m sure she has something fun and pretty to share!

Color Fusers Blog Hop for August 2021

Happy August! This summer is going by WAY too fast! Today, we have a pretty combination of Just Jade, Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather, and Basic Gray. I just love, LOVE these colors together!

My card this month features my second favorite flower: DAHLIAS! Beginning August 3rd, Stampin’ Up! will be having a SECOND Sale-a-Bration, and the stamp set I used for this month’s project is one of the FREE items you can earn with a $50 purchase. It’s called Delicate Dahlias, and it’s a 12 piece photopolymer stamp set. It contains both hand drawn and photorealistic images, as well as four different sentiments. You can see the full set below:

My card also uses a new embossing folder called Timeworn Type 3D Embossing Folder. I can already tell that it is going to be one of my new favorites! This embossing folder is also available beginning August 3rd.

To make my card, I used Thick Basic White cardstock as the base, Basic Gray cardstock for the middle layer, and regular Basic White cardstock for the top. I decided to offset the layers, and embellished the finished card with some white baker’s twine, as well as Opal Rounds. I stamped the hand drawn dahlia in Gorgeous Grape ink, then stamped over it with the photorealistic dahlia in Highland Heather. I did the same with the leaves, using both leaf stamps in Just Jade ink. I fussy cut around all of the pieces, and mounted them to the top layer with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I heat embossed the sentiment on Basic Gray cardstock in white embossing powder, cut it out using the Messages Die, and mounted that with dimensionals as well. It may be hard to see in the pictures, but I also spattered some Basic Gray ink lightly on the background before assembling the card!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick White Basic White Cardstock Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Basic Gray Cardstock middle layer: 4 x 5-1/4 inches

Regular White Cardstock top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Dahlia: approximately 3 inches in diameter

Leaves: approximately 1-3/4 x 2 inches each

Basic Gray sentiment piece: 3/4 x 1-3/4 inches

Please continue to the next stop on this month’s hop, which is Gail Ellis’ page. I can’t wait to see what Gail has created this month!

Thanks so much for checking in today! Enjoy your day!

Colors Fusers Blog Hop for July 2021

It is time for our July 2021 Color Fusers Blog Hop! Today, we have a pretty combination of Basic White, Basic Black, Petal Pink, and Gold to share with you. I just LOVE these colors together, and I love how the gold adds some extra shimmer and shine! My card today features two NEW stamps sets, which I will get to in just a bit!

I don’t know about you, but I always have a ton of wedding cards to make during the summer. This one is going to be sent to a friend’s daughter, who is getting married next month. Her colors are very similar to the colors for this month’s hop, so the timing worked out well! As I mentioned above, I used two new stamp sets to make this card. The set I used for the flowers is called Shaded Summer, and the one I used for the sentiment is called Create with Friends. These are definitely two of my new favorites! I just love the look of the flowers and the large, elegant script of the sentiments. Take a look at both sets up close in the photo below:

As you can see, both sets offer LOTS of gorgeous images and sentiments in addition to the few I used. You could definitely use both for many different occasions!

To make my card, I cut my layers and then used the two floral stamps to stamp the corners in Petal Pink ink. I also used a Water Painter and my Petal Pink Ink Refill to add some paint spatters to the background. I heat embossed the Celebrate sentiment in white on Basic Black cardstock, and cut it using a die from the Tasteful Labels Dies. I added a piece of Petal Pink Organdy striped ribbon across the center of the top layer, then adhered the sentiment over it with Stampin’ Dimensionals. I tucked some pieces from the Expressions in Ink Ephemera pack on both sides of the sentiment, adhered them with glue dots, then added some of the sequins from the Ephemera pack as well. I stamped a coordinating envelope, and my project was finished!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Basic White Thick Cardstock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Basic Black cardstock middle layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Basic White cardstock top layer: 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 inches

Basic Black sentiment piece (as shown): 2 x 3-1/2 inches (approximate)

Please continue through our hop to see what other creations my talented teammates have created this month! Next up is Gail Ellis at Blue Rose Paper Treasures!

Thanks for stopping by! Enjoy your day!

3D Thursday: Springtime Joy Easter Egg Holders

Happy Thursday! Looks like it’s my turn to post for 3D Thursday! I was torn between doing a St. Patrick’s Day project or an Easter one…and in the end, I ended up going with Easter! Easter is kind of early this year, so believe it or not, it’s right around the corner (April 4th). I created these fun Easter egg holders using the Springtime Joy stamp set:

When I think of Easter, I think of soft, pastel colors. I didn’t want to use anything bold or dark, so most of my images are stamped in Smoky Slate ink, while the basket is stamped and colored in Sahara Sand. All of my coloring is done with regular Subtles Stampin’ Write Markers. Here’s a look at what the holders look like from the back:

The Springtime Joy set is PERFECT for Easter, but it also has some general spring stamps and sentiments as well. It has some fun images including the images you see on my project, as well as an adorable lamb and chick, plus some flowers! Here’s a peek at the full set:

I really love how the egg holders came out, and they were a lot of fun to make! Want to make some of your own? Click HERE to download my FREE project sheet, or click on the image below:

I hope you have enjoyed my project today. Please check back next week for something new!

Thanks for checking in this week. It’s my turn next week, so stay tuned! I’ve got something fun planned!

These are so sweet, and can be used for so many different things! Fill with your favorite treat and use them as favors, place markers, coworker gifts, teacher gifts, and more! Here’s a close up of each individually:

If you would like more information about Sarah’s project, as well as complete instructions so you can make your own, you can download Sarah’s FREE project sheet HERE, or by clicking on the image below:

3D Thursday: Fine Art Floral Gift Tin

This week, we have Guest Designer Diane Lethbridge joining us for 3D Thursday! Diane has created some gift tins using products from the Fine Art Floral Suite. Take a look at how pretty her project is:

These would be perfect for giving so many different gifts! And they can be decorated and switched up for any occasion or holiday just by using different paper and embellishments! I’m not sure where Diane got her tins, but I know I’ve seen them at the dollar store. (And you get 4 in one package with lid inserts!) This is such a versatile project!

If you would like to learn more about Diane’s project and/or make your own, you can download her FREE project sheet HERE or by clicking the image below:
