Stitched Seasons Meets Sunshine Wishes!

Today’s card features the upcoming Stitched Seasons Framelits dies, along with the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits and Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper!  The Stitched Seasons Framelits are part of the August 1st release of the Stitched Seasons products.  I recently wrote a post about this new bundle, with all the relevant info regarding release dates, products, and more!  If you missed it, you can read all about it HERE.

For today’s card, I made a wedding card with Powder Pink and White for the colors.  I used a pattern from the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper that looks almost like stone for the background, and accented it with Powder Pink shimmer ribbon, as well as some floral die cuts in both Powder Pink and vellum.

The sentiment is die cut from the new Sparkle Glimmer Paper and centered right in the middle of the card.  There is NO stamping on this card at all.  Everything is cut with the Stampin’ Trimmer and the Big Shot!  Here is a close up of the center portion of the card:

The Petal Promenade Paper is gorgeous!  Most patterns are made from photographs of real flowers, stone, etc. This paper is also part of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Sale this month!  Here’s the full array of designs in the Petal Promenade paper:

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Powder Pink card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Designer Series Paper layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Whisper White Stitched Seasons Die Cut Layer:  3 x 4 inches

Powder Pink floral vine die cut:  1 x 3-1/8 inches (approximately)

Vellum die cuts:  varies (range from 1 x 3 to 1 x 2 inches)

Sparkle “congrats” sentiment:  1 x 3-3/4 inches

This card is perfect for a wedding, and is so pretty and sparkly in person!  I hope you like it!

Thanks for checking in!

Tea Room Friendship Card

One of my favorite designer series papers in this year’s catalog is the Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper!  This paper has a great selection of beautiful patterns including flowers, bees, butterflies, and more.  And the colors are just gorgeous!  The pattern I used for today’s card is a mix of flowers, leaves, and butterflies, and is printed in shades of Crushed Curry.  I decided to pair the paper with Basic Gray, as I love the combination of yellow, gray, and white (though in this case, it’s Crushed Curry, Basic Gray, and Very Vanilla!)

The sentiment is from the Time for Tea photopolymer stamp set, and the scalloped layer behind the sentiment is from the Spot of Tea Framelits dies.  The paper, stamps, framelits, and the ribbon I used are all from the NEW Tea Room Suite!  The full suite of products can be found on pages 14-15 in the annual catalog, or you can view them HERE.

Besides the Tea Room ribbon, I embellished this card with some vellum leaves.  Some were cut with the Leaf Punch, and others were cut using a die from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  I also added some copper leaves from the Leaves Trinkets embellishments, as well as a couple of Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to finish it off!  Here’s a close up of the embellishments on and around the sentiment piece:

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Basic Gray card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Crushed Curry middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

DSP top layer: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Basic Gray sentiment backing layer: 2-3/4 inches in diameter (approximately)

Very Vanilla sentiment piece:  2-1/4 inches in diameter

Vellum pieces for leaves: 1-3/4 x 2 inches (approximately)

You can find all of the products used on this card in the links below!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great weekend!

6 x 6 One Sheet Wonder Project with Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper

Have you ever heard of a One Sheet Wonder?  It’s when you use ONE sheet of patterned paper to make multiple, coordinating cards.  If you google “One Sheet Wonder” or enter it into Pinterest, many, MANY examples pop up!  Some are designed for 6 x 6 inch paper, some for 8 x 8, some for 12 x 12, and I’ve even seen some for 8-1/2 x 11 inch paper!  Some are super simple, while some are pretty intricate.  However, regardless of the size or level of detail, one sheet wonder projects are a great way to make a bunch of beautifully coordinated cards!

The template I chose to use for my project today uses one sheet of 6 x 6 inch designer series paper!  I found the template on Pinterest, and it linked to a blog post of a fellow papercrafter by the name of Kathy Roney.  The template I used is her original design.  Although I switched up the cards a bit to put my own spin on them, I did use her template, and I definitely want to give her credit for creating it!  If you would like to see her original template and the gorgeous cards she created with it, please click HERE.

For my cards, I decided to use a sheet of paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper!  I started with a 6 x 6 inch sheet and then cut it up as shown below:

All of the colors I used for my cards coordinate with the colors in the paper.  The colors I used are:

All cards measure 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches, and they all use a few common products (besides the DSP):
  • Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Pearl Basic Jewels
  • Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon
  • Love What You Do stamp set

Here is a close up of each card individually:

This project was a lot of fun to complete, and a great one to try if you’ve never done a One Sheet Wonder project before!  The cutting and designs are pretty simple, and can easily be used for a variety of styles and layouts!  Here’s another look at all 6 completed cards together:

I hope you’ve enjoyed my post today!  If you have any questions about this project, please don’t hesitate to ask!

New Stampin’ Blends Colors and NEW Bundle Available August 1st!

Last week I received an order with all of the new Stampin’ Blends colors!  They are finally back in stock, and the new colors are gorgeous!  For this card, I used Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green (both light and dark shades of both), as well as Daffodil Delight for the centers of the flowers.  The large floral stamp is from a brand new stamp set called Blended Seasons, which will be available for a limited time beginning August 1st!  (More about that soon!)  I paired the colored floral image with the new color Mango Melody, because I just love the combo of these three colors together!

Another new product I used on this card is the Big Shot Embossing Mats.  These new mats allow you to use cutting dies to emboss, rather than cut.  So the floral images along the right side of the card were actually made with a cutting die!  These new mats provide so many more options for decorating and adding detail to projects!  Here’s a close up of the detail on the embossed edge:

The die I used for the embossing is from a new set called the Stitched Seasons Framelits.  These new dies are part of the same limited time offer as the Blended Seasons stamp set.  The stamps and dies will be available separately, as well as in a bundle (save 10%), again, beginning August 1st!

Other products used on this card include the Touches of Texture stamp set, Stitched All Around stamp set, and Petals & More Thinlits Dies.  I also added just a touch of Clear Wink of Stella to the insides of the flowers for a bit of shine!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Mango Melody card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Poppy Parade card stock strip:  2-5/8 x 5-1/2 inches

Whisper White card stock strip:  2-1/2 x 5-1/2 inches

Floral stamp image:  2-3/4 x 4 inches (fussy cut)

Sentiment die cut:  5/8 x 2-7/8 inches

I am a huge fan of the new Brights colors, and I love the way these three look together!  Please stay tuned for more information regarding the new stamps and dies, as I will be posting everything you need to know about it sometime in the next few days!

Thanks for checking in today!  Enjoy your day!

Dragonfly Dreams Meets Share What You Love

This gorgeous card was one of the cards I made on Saturday in Maine!  It was designed by my friend and fellow demonstrator, Sherri Everett!  She held a card buffet where you could go and make as many cards as you wanted, and it was so much fun!  It ended up taking me almost five hours to get there, so I didn’t have as much time as I would have liked, but I still got to make six full cards, and I took four kits home to make with supplies I have at home.  Sherri’s designs are really beautiful!  This was the first one that caught my eye, as green is my favorite color, and there are multiple shades of green on this card. Plus I LOVE dragonflies, so this was one I definitely needed to make!

This card features the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, as well as the NEW Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper!  Layering Circles Framelits were used to cut the circle with the dragonfly, as well as the scalloped piece behind it.  It’s embellished with Burlap Ribbon, as well as some Linen Thread, and the sentiment piece was trimmed with Paper Snips, but the Triple Banner Punch could be used as well!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Whisper White card stock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 and folded in half)

Tranquil Tide middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

DSP top layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

Whisper White circle:  2-11/16 inches in diameter

Tranquil Tide scalloped circle:  2-13/16 inches in diameter

Burlap Ribbon piece:  3-1/2 inches

Old Olive banner/sentiment piece:  3 x 1/2 inches

One thing I really love about the Designer Series Paper that Sherri used for this card, is that some of the designs have beautiful, iridescent accents!  This design is one of them, and I tried to get some good pictures of the accents, but it’s hard to see.  All of the largest flowers on this design have the iridescent finish, and they are so pretty in person!  It adds such a nice touch to this card!

I have many more cards that I made on my trip, and I will share them with you hopefully over the next few weeks!

Thanks for visiting today!  Please let me know if you have any questions!

Rooted in Nature Meets Daisy Delight

When it was announced at OnStage in April that Blackberry Bliss was making a return, I got super excited!  I absolutely love this color, and I was really sad when it retired a few years back!  This is the first chance I’ve had to use it, and I definitely wanted to go with something bold to showcase it.  So I made a large daisy with the Daisy Delight stamp set and cut it out with the Daisy Punch.  To get the fullness of the daisy, I stamped and punched TWO and then layered them.  I also paired the finished daisy with embossed leaves made with the Nature’s Roots Framelits (more on that a little later!)

The very first thing I did when making this card, was to finely spatter Blackberry Bliss ink onto the top layer using an Aqua Painter.  It’s hard to see in the pics, but it gives a nice bit of extra detail that’s actually really subtle!  While that dried, I made and assembled the daisy and leaves.  The leaves were made using two different dies from the Nature’s Roots Framelits.  The first is an embossing die that embossed the detail of the leaves without actually cutting them out.  The second die does the actual cutting.  I used Mossy Meadow cardstock for the leaves (another returning favorite!) as I think it looks so nice with the Blackberry Bliss!  Here’s a little bit of a better shot of the daisy and leaves up close:

The detail on the leaves is so pretty!  I also stamped the sentiment in Mossy Meadow to coordinate with the leaves and the middle layer of the card.  The sentiment is from the Rooted in Nature stamp set, which is available as a bundle with the framelits for 10% off.  (Of course, you can get both items separately as well!)

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Blackberry Bliss card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Mossy Meadow middle layer:  3-3/8 x 4-5/8 inches

Very Vanilla top layer: 3-1/4 x 4-1/2 inches

Daisy:  2-1/2 inches in diameter

Leaves: 1-3/4 x 1-3/4 inches (approximately)

Other products used on this card include Linen Thread and Iridescent Sequins!

You can find all of the supplies used to make this card listed below.  If you have any questions, please let me know!

Enjoy your day!  Thanks for visiting!

New Host Set: Very Vintage

In every Stampin’ Up! catalog, there are a handful of stamp sets that can only be purchased with Stampin’ Rewards.  Stampin’ Rewards can be earned in one of two ways:

  1. Host a qualifying party or workshop of $150 or more in sales.
  2. Place an order of $150 or more (before tax and shipping).

When one of these two things happen, Stampin’ Rewards are earned, which are basically rewards dollars that you can use on anything in the catalog or online store, including the host sets mentioned above!  The stamp set I used on this card is one of those sets.  It is called Very Vintage, and can be found on page 227 of the new catalog.  The set comes in your choice of wood mount or clear mount, and the full set can be seen below:

For this card, I used the large floral stamp, as well as the lacy looking one, and of course, the “Dear Friend” sentiment as well!  To get the clean lines, I used masking tape across the top and bottom of the cardstock so that there would be definite lines to the design.  I applied the masking tape before stamping, and once the ink was dry, I removed the tape.  I stamped the flowers in Crumb Cake ink, and stamped some of the lace in the background in Petal Pink.

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Crumb cake card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Soft Suede middle layer:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Very Vanilla top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Also, the stamped area of this card measures about 2-1/8 inches wide, but you can make it as large or small as you want depending where you place your tape!

The only embellishments I added to this card were the pink Share What You Love Artisan Pearls in each corner.  I really just wanted to keep it simple!  I also adhered the top two layers with dimensionals, just to give it a little extra detail!  You can find all of the supplies used on this card below, and of course, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Send a Hug with Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper

Today’s card uses mostly NEW product from the new annual catalog!  The sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set, the paper banners are from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the embossed background was made with the new Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The flowers were die cut with a die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.

I just love this paper!  It includes 6 double sided handpainted designs on heavyweight paper.  Four of the designs have a really pretty pearlized finish.  Each sheet measures 12 x 12 inches, and the package contains 24 sheets!  The full color palette for this paper is shown below:

Abstract Impressions Birthday Card

Last weekend, my grandmother turned 94 years old!  She has thirteen children, almost 40 grandchildren, and (I believe) 48 great-grandchildren!  She is amazing!  This is the card I made for her.  Her favorite color is purple and she loves flowers, so I thought the new colors Highland Heather and Gorgeous Grape would be perfect!  I also used the Abstract Impressions stamp set to make the flowers, and the Perennial Birthday set for the sentiment and inside greeting!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Highland Heather cardstock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Gorgeous Grape layer:  2-15/16 x 5-1/2 inches

Whisper White Top Layer:  2-3/4 x 5-1/2 inches

Gorgeous Grape Banner piece: 1 x 3-15/16 inches

Whisper White Inside Layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

This card is embellished with a few pearls, Pearlized Doilies, and Wink of Stella!  The Wink of Stella was applied to each of the flowers, and gives just a hint of shimmer and shine to this card! I tried to get a good pic of the shine.  Here’s what I was able to get:

Hope you can see the shimmer!  Wink of Stella really does make everything prettier!  🙂

Please check back later this week for information regarding some fantastic promotions coming in July!
