Happy Thursday! Today, we have Guest Designer Libby Fens joining us, and she has created this great packaging for chocolate dipped pretzel rods (YUM!)
For her project, Libby used items from the 2020 January-June Mini Catalog, including the gorgeous Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper. Who wouldn’t want to receive this sweet treat in such a great little package?
Others items that Libby used include the So Sentimental stamp set and Stitched So Sweetly Dies, which can be purchased right now as a bundle for 10% off the cost of both separately. Take a peek at what’s included in the bundle below, or click HERE to go straight to it in the online store!

I hope you have enjoyed this week’s project! Have a great weekend!
It’s Thursday again (already!), and that means it’s time for another 3D Thursday project! This week, it was my turn to create, and since we’ve all been sick in my house (even the cat), I needed something relatively quick and easy to make for my post. So I came up with this decorated Mini Pizza Box! Since Valentine’s Day is right around the corner, I decided to go with a Valentine’s theme, but it can easily be adapted for any occasion, just by switching up papers, images , and sentiments!
Here are step by step instructions for creating this cute little treat box:
1. Assemble the Mini Pizza Box. Cut two pieces of 3-1/4 x 3-1/4 inch pieces of From My Heart Specialty DSP. (One will be used on the top of the Mini Pizza Box and the other will be used to line the bottom of the inside of the box.) Use Snail Adhesive to attach one to the top of the box and one to the inside.
2. Place 5 foil wrapped chocolate hearts (or other treat of your choice) in the box.
3. Close the box and wrap a piece of ribbon around the box so that it wraps around all four sides and closes the box tight. Attach the ends of the ribbon to the top of the box using mini glue dots. Attach a Heart Doily to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
4. Stamp the sentiment in Real Red and the arrow in Flirty Flamingo onto Shimmery White cardstock. Punch the heart with the small heart from the Heart Punch Pack. Fussy cut the arrow using Paper Snips.
5. Lay the arrow over the doily and adhere with glue dots. Then, attach the heart sentiment over it with dimensionals.
6. Apply three small epoxy hearts to the sentiment piece and color them with Flirty Flamingo Stampin’ Blends to add a little more color and detail. Attach the full completed heart to the top of the box using dimensionals, and the project is complete!
Here’s a quick peek at the inside of the box:

Today we have Guest Designer Bronwyn Eastley joining us for 3D Thursday, and she has created a stunning pop up Christmas card to share! It uses lots of different products from the Holiday Catalog, and is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face who receives it!
When closed, it looks just like an ordinary (though gorgeous) Christmas card:
But then when you open it up:
WOW! Isn’t that amazing? I just love her projects! You can find out more about Bronwyn’s project HERE.

It’s Sarah Wills’ turn to create for 3D Thursday, and she has created this adorable treat box for Halloween! This sweet little box holds Halloween Peeps (which I have NEVER seen before, but I now NEED to find!), but can also be filled with any sweet treat you choose!
Seriously, how cute and perfect is this box? You can find the complete, FREE instruction sheet HERE, or by clicking the image below. This project could be easily changed for ANY holiday just by switching up colors and paper! It’s so creative AND versatile!
Over the summer, I was invited to join a group of Demonstrators called the 3D Thursday Designers. Every Thursday, we take turns posting 3D projects on our team Facebook page, as well as our individual blogs. The other designers in this group are Debbie Henderson, Sarah Wills, and Twila Davis. I am so thrilled and honored to have been asked to join this group of incredibly talented ladies! 🙂
This week it was my turn to post, and since it’s back to school time (and I am a teacher in my day to day life), I decided to design a back to school teacher’s gift and coordinating card:
The gift box is made with a Clear Tiny Treat box, and contains six Ghiardelli chocolate squares. The box is wrapped with a DSP band, as well as topped with a handmade bow. There is also a coordinating note card with envelope to go with it! Most of the products I used are from the Follow Your Art suite, though there are a few others as well. You can find a complete supply list at the end of this post, as well as a FREE, printable step by step project sheet as well! Here are a few more pictures first though:

I hope you have enjoyed my project today, and will tune in every Thursday for NEW projects posted by the 3D Thursday Design Team! (If you would rather follow us on Facebook, you can also find us at https://www.facebook.com/3DThursday/!)
Today I am sharing my first project created with NEW Holiday Catalog products! It is not actually the first project I CREATED with new products though. It’s actually the second, but I am waiting a bit to share that one, as I used it for a swap and don’t want anyone to see it until I know everyone has received their cards!
This card was created with items from the Wrapped in Plaid Suite, as well as the Snowman Season stamp set. Colors are Night of Navy, Shaded Spruce, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, and Gold!
Measurements for this card are as follows:
Night of Navy card stock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)
Shaded Spruce middle layer: 4 x 5-1/4 inches
Whisper White top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches
Wrapped in Plaid DSP banner piece: 2 x 4-1/4 inches (when cut will measure 2 x 4 inches or so)
Whisper White stitched tree piece: 2-5/8 x 2-5/8 inches
While the basic design is very simple for this card, some things I did to dress it up a bit include: using the Stitched Shapes Cutting Dies to frame the tree; using the Subtle 3D Embossing Folder on the background; and adding a Gold Glimmer Paper star punched with the Twinkle Builder Punch to the top of the tree. I also applied the tree piece with Stampin’ Dimensionals to make it pop off the card a little!
All of the new products used on this card will be available beginning September 4th! If you do not yet have a copy of the Holiday Catalog, let me know, and I will get one out to you right away!
Last week, I posted a card I made with the NEW Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies. There are two large dies in the set that layer together to make five, detailed, interconnected butterflies. For my card last week, I trimmed off the four smaller butterflies and used just the one large center one. Here’s what that card looked like in case you missed it:
And here’s what the thinlits dies look like:
I used the first large die to cut out the bottom layer in Powder Pink, and then used the second large die to cut out the detail in Sparkle Glimmer Paper.
After I made last week’s card, I held on to the four smaller butterflies that were trimmed off, and used two of them on my card for today! Other products featured on this card include the All My Love Designer Series Paper, Stitched Rectangle Framelits, Dragonfly Dreams stamp set, and Gingham Gala Sequins!
Measurements for this card are as follows:
Thick Whisper White card stock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)
DSP strip: 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches
Whisper White Stitched Rectangle layer: 2-5/8 x 4 inches
Small Butterfly: 1-1/4 x 1-1/2 inches (approximate)
Larger Butterfly: 2 x 1-3/4 inches (approximate)
And after two projects, I still have two more butterflies to use from that original die cut! So please be sure to check back soon to see how I use those as well!
As I sit here and write this, it is 2 degrees outside. TWO degrees! It is SO cold!!! I don’t normally mind winter, but when it’s this cold, I get pretty cranky. I am very much looking forward to Spring and warmer temperatures! One thing that always reminds me of nice weather is buttterflies. I just LOVE butterflies, and any craft supply item that has them. So when I saw the NEW Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies, I knew I needed to add them to my collection! You can take a look at the full set below:
This set contains dies to make lots of different sized butterflies. The two largest dies actually layer together to make five connected butterflies. These two dies are actually the ones I used for today’s card. I cut the bottom piece from Powder Pink card stock, and the top layer from Sparkle Glimmer Paper. I then adhered them together with Multipurpose Glue, and then trimmed off the four smaller butterflies so I was left with just one, large one. (I did save the other four, and plan to make other projects with them, which you will probably see very soon!)
The colors I chose for this card are Berry Burst, Lemon Lime Twist, Powder Pink, and Whisper White.
Measurements for this card are as follows:
Berry Burst card stock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)
Lemon Lime Twist middle layer: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches
2017-2019 In Color DSP top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches
Sparkle Glimmer Paper/Powder Pink Butterfly piece: 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches*
Whisper White sentiment piece: 2-1/4 x 1-3/8 inches
*When trimmed, the single large butterfly is about 2-3/4 x 3-3/4 inches
You can find the thinlits and stamp set, as well as the cute flower sequins in the new Occasions Catalog. Everything else is in the Annual one. A complete supply list can be found below!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope wherever you are, it’s warmer than here! 🙂
I love Valentine’s Day crafting! I have two boys and each year they need Valentines cards for their classmates. As soon as I saw this stamp set in the Occasions Catalog, I knew it was perfect for their class Valentines this year! So today, I put these together as samples. I LOVE the way they came out!
Check out the full stamp set below:
Seriously, how cute is this set?
Each of these cards used the same basic supplies. The card bases are the Whisper White Narrow Notecards & Envelopes. Each one measures 2-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches in size, and comes in a pack of 20 cards with 20 envelopes! Perfect for cute little notes for loved ones!
Here’s a close up of each card:
Basic measurements for each of the cards are as follows:
Narrow Notecard base (pre cut/pre-scored at 2-1/2 inches): 5 x 4-1/2 inches
DSP background layers: 2-1/4 x 4-1/4 inches
Vellum scalloped circle layer*: 2-3/4 inches in diameter
Whisper White Circle for each animal*: 2 inches in diameter
Sentiment pieces and embellishments vary by card.
*The pieces used on the crocodile are slightly larger!
I hope you like these cards as much as I do! Thanks for stopping by!
Today’s project uses products from the new All My Love Suite from the Occasions Catalog! It also features some of my 10 favorite new products, as mentioned in my post from yesterday! The main products featured on this card are the All My Love Designer Series Paper and the Meant to Be Bundle. The whole suite can be found on pages 4-6 of the Occasions Catalog.
The All My Love Designer Series Paper is my FAVORITE paper from the new catalog! I just love the patterns and colors…it is so perfect for Valentine’s Day! You can see the whole assortment of designs below:
I used five different designs from this paper to make the background, and matched them with Lovely Lipstick, Flirty Flamingo, and Shimmery White Cardstock. The card was finished with some Flirty Flamingo Ribbon from the All My Love Ribbon Combo Pack, and Heart Epoxy Droplets.
Measurements for this card are as follows:
Lovely Lipstick cardstock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)
Flirty Flamingo middle layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches
Shimmery White cardstock layer: 3-5/8 x 4-7/8 inches
DSP strips: 3-5/8 x 3/4 inches each
Flirty Flamingo Stitched Heart: 2-3/4 inches x 3-1/2 inches
Shimmery White cardstock sentiment piece: 2-7/16 x 3-1/8 inches
This is my first Valentine’s project of the year, and I really love the way it came out! If you love the traditional colors of pinks, reds, and whites for Valentine’s Day, as well as hearts and flowers, you will absolutely LOVE this new suite! Be sure to check it out, and let me know if you have any questions or need anything!
