Color Fusers Blog Hop for November 2019

It’s time for our November Color Fusers Blog Hop! We’ve got a festive color combo today of Copper, Pretty Peacock, and Cherry Cobbler. Please be sure to click though all of our blogs to see all of the projects that my talented teammates have created!

My project today features the Christmas Layers Dies, along with a sentiment from the Merry Moose stamp set. To make this card, I first cut a 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 inch piece of Shimmery White cardstock, and then carefully tore along each edge in order to make a square approximately 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches in size. I then took a small spray bottle and added 1/2 water and 1/2 rubbing alcohol, as well as about 10 drops of ink from a Pretty Peacock ink refill. After shaking well, I spritzed the color to cover the square. I then used an AquaPainter and Pretty Peacock ink pad to spatter some darker ink spots on the cardstock. I then set it aside to dry.

While the square was drying, I cut a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock and embossed it using the Scripty Embossing Folder. I also cut the snowflakes from Copper Foil using the Christmas Layers Dies, and stamped the sentiment in Cherry Cobbler ink using a stamp from the Merry Moose stamp set. The ends of the sentiment piece were trimmed by hand using Paper Snips.

Before assembling the card, I used a stamp from the Nature’s Beauty set to stamp some detail in Pretty Peacock ink. I then assembled the rest of the card using Snail adhesive, Mini Dimensionals, and the Fine Tip Glue Pen. I finished the card by adding some tiny snowflakes using Multipurpose Glue.

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Shimmery White cardstock base: 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Cherry Cobbler cardstock strip: 4-1/4 x 2 inches

Shimmery White cardstock top layer: 4-1/2 x 4-1/2 inches (torn by hand to measure approximately 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches in size)

Shimmery White sentiment piece: 2-1/2 x 1/2 inch

Copper Foil piece for die cut snowflakes: 3 x 4 inches

I hope you have enjoyed my project today! Whether you have come here from my Facebook page, Jo Anne Hewins page, or some other way, I hope you will continue to click through the rest of our pages to see some other projects created with this color combo. Up next is Bonnie O’Neill!

Merry Monday: A Festive Dashing Deer Christmas Card

I LOVE making Christmas cards!  I get really excited every year when the Holiday Catalog comes out, because we always have so many gorgeous Christmas products…and this year is no different!  I totally fell in love with the Dashing Deer Bundle when I was flipping through this year’s catalog!  The bundle includes the 9 piece Dashing Deer stamp set, as well as the 13 piece Detailed Deer Thinlits Dies.  Both products can also be purchased separately, but purchasing them together as a bundle will save you 10%!

This card also features background paper from the NEW Joyous Noel Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This new paper is GORGEOUS!  There are 12 different designs and half of them feature Copper Foil accents.  There are pine sprays, stripes, holly and berries, branches, reindeer, snowflakes, and more.  The full color palette for the paper can be seen below:

The sentiment I used for this card is also from the Dashing Deer stamp set.  The set contains two pairs of sentiments, perfect for the front AND inside of cards!  For my card, I used “Happiest Christmas Wishes” on the front.  The inside sentiment reads “Remembering you this season with warm thoughts and a wish for everything merry.”  Here’s a peek at the inside sentiment:

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Tranquil Tide card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Whisper White middle layer:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

DSP top layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

Champagne Foil Deer:  3 x 3-1/2 inches (approximately)

Whisper White sentiment piece:  3/4 x 2-1/2 inches

I am still in process of packing up my Holiday Catalogs for my customers.  They WILL go out this week!  If you are not already on my list, and would like to be, please contact me and I will get one to you as well.  The Dashing Deer Bundle is only one of many, many gorgeous holiday products!  This is one catalog you don’t want to miss!

Thanks for stopping by!

The Blended Seasons Bundle is Available Starting TOMORROW!

Tomorrow, August 1st, the new, gorgeous Blended Seasons Bundle will be available for purchase!  The bundle contains both the Blended Seasons stamp set, as well as the coordinating Stitched Seasons Framelits Dies!   Here’s a peek at the full bundle:

This bundle is perfect for year round crafting!  It contains images and sentiments that can be used for spring and summer flowers, plus autumn leaves, and holly, berries, and bells for the holidays!  Both items are also available separately as well, so if you want just the stamps, or just the dies, you can get just one or the other.  BUT, you will save 10% if you buy both as the bundle!  🙂

The card I made for today’s post uses the leaves stamp from the bundle.  I stamped the leaves in VersaMark ink and heat embossed them in Copper Embossing Powder.  I then used my Aqua Painter to add color.  I used Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze, and Old Olive as the colors.  I framed the leaves with an oval from the Layering Ovals Framelits, and set it against one of the stitched frames from the Stitched Seasons Framelits.

I used a design from the Wood Textures 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper as the background, and embellished the card with linen thread and some pearls colored with the Ivory Stampin’ Blends marker.  SInce I used Very Vanilla on this card, I wanted the pearls to match.  Coloring them with the Ivory marker was the perfect solution!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Very Vanilla card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Wood Textures DSP layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Early Espresso stitched backing layer:  2-3/4 x 4 inches

Very Vanilla oval:  2-5/8 x 3-9/16 inches

The Blended Seasons Bundle is available beginning August 1st, and is only available until August 31st or while supplies last!  So if you love it, be sure to order early in order to avoid disappointment if it sells out!  You can shop for these exclusive, limited time products HERE.

Today is also the LAST DAY to get the Wood Textures DSP as part of the Buy 3 Get 1 FREE Designer Series Paper sale!  AND, it’s also the last day to sign up for Stampin’ Up! and get 10 free ink pads in addition to $125 in product of your choice for only $99!

Tea Room Friendship Card

One of my favorite designer series papers in this year’s catalog is the Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper!  This paper has a great selection of beautiful patterns including flowers, bees, butterflies, and more.  And the colors are just gorgeous!  The pattern I used for today’s card is a mix of flowers, leaves, and butterflies, and is printed in shades of Crushed Curry.  I decided to pair the paper with Basic Gray, as I love the combination of yellow, gray, and white (though in this case, it’s Crushed Curry, Basic Gray, and Very Vanilla!)

The sentiment is from the Time for Tea photopolymer stamp set, and the scalloped layer behind the sentiment is from the Spot of Tea Framelits dies.  The paper, stamps, framelits, and the ribbon I used are all from the NEW Tea Room Suite!  The full suite of products can be found on pages 14-15 in the annual catalog, or you can view them HERE.

Besides the Tea Room ribbon, I embellished this card with some vellum leaves.  Some were cut with the Leaf Punch, and others were cut using a die from the Bouquet Bunch Framelits.  I also added some copper leaves from the Leaves Trinkets embellishments, as well as a couple of Share What You Love Artisan Pearls to finish it off!  Here’s a close up of the embellishments on and around the sentiment piece:

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Basic Gray card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Crushed Curry middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

DSP top layer: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Basic Gray sentiment backing layer: 2-3/4 inches in diameter (approximately)

Very Vanilla sentiment piece:  2-1/4 inches in diameter

Vellum pieces for leaves: 1-3/4 x 2 inches (approximately)

You can find all of the products used on this card in the links below!

My Final OnStage Display Board Project!

My final display board project is actually very similar to the very first project I shared using items from the new Annual Catalog!  If you remember, I made a mini pizza box using the Love What You Do stamp set.  I even used most of the same colors as on this card!  Here’s a pic of the project I am referring to if you’d like to take a look:

Both projects use many of the same products, including the Love What You Do stamp set, the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper, the Bermuda Bay, Pool Party, and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, and the Tea Room ribbon!  However, on today’s project, the sentiment is not heat embossed, but rather stamped in Soft Suede ink, and framed by an outline stamp and framelit from the Rose Wonder stamp set and Rose Garden Thinlits Dies (which are retiring May 31st.)  The ribbon is also tied in a bow for the card!

I really love the color palette for this card!  The colors that were used are as follows:

And of course, Very Vanilla is used as the base neutral in this project as well (even though it’s not shown above!)

The measurements for this card are as follows:
Crumb Cake card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)
Very Vanilla middle layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches
Wood Textures DSP top layer:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8 inches
Very Vanilla Stitched Shapes Circle:  3-1/2 x 3-1/2 inches
Very Vanilla sentiment piece:  2 x 3 inches

This card was embellished with the NEW Tea Room Ribbon Combo Pack, as well as a few Pearl Basic Jewels that have been colored with an Ivory Stampin’ Blends Marker.  The ribbon will be available June 1st and comes in pack of two colors: Very Vanilla and Coastal Cabana.  The ribbon is 1/8 inch wide, and has beautiful Copper edging, which you can see nicely in the picture directly above!

So that’s it for my OnStage Display Board samples.  I hope you have enjoyed what I have created!  Don’t forget, the Love What You Do stamp set is available NOW to order as part of the Share What You Love Early Release, now through May 31st!  Click HERE to go to the early release section of the online store!

If you have any questions regarding this, or any other project I’ve shared, please feel free to ask!  🙂

Sitting, Thinking, Missing You with the Sitting Pretty Stamp Set

Today’s card was made with the NEW Sitting Pretty stamp set!  It features a potted plant and a sweet sentiment, all from the same stamp set.  It also features the NEW Subtle 3D Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, also available in the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalog!  (I’ll show a close up of this in a bit!)

This card uses Very Vanilla as the base neutral, along with Always Artichoke, Perfect Plum, and Copper accents.  I used the 1/4″ Copper Trim for the bow, and two brushed copper brads from a NEW assortment of metallic brads, also available in the new catalog.

The measurements for this card are as follows:

Always Artichoke card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 and folded in half)

Very Vanilla base layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Small Always Artichoke panel:  3-1/8 x 3-7/8 inches

Very Vanilla top layer:  3 x 3/4 inches

Here is a close up of the new Subtle embossing folder’s design:

This stamp set will be available June 1st!  Although I did not have them for OnStage, there are coordinating framelits for this set called the Pretty Park Framelits Dies.  Both the stamp set and the framelits will be available as a bundle in the new catalog, for a savings of 10%!

If you have any questions about this card, please feel free to ask.

Copper Tea Tin and Mini Note Card Set

My project today features items from a NEW suite of products called the Tea Room Suite!  All products in this suite will be available starting June 1st when the NEW 2018-2019 Annual Catalog goes live.  For this project, I used four products from the suite: Copper Tea Tins, Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers, Tea Room Ribbon, and Spot of Tea Framelits Dies.  There is also a coordinating stamp set, Designer Series Paper, and a Memories and More Card Pack in the suite!

For this project, I decided to keep it simple and do a coordinating set of three mini notecards with envelopes.  The tins measure 3-3/4 x 3-5/8 x 2-1/4 inches in size, making them the perfect size for holding 3 x 3 inch note cards and envelopes!

I wrapped the tin with a piece of Vellum, and then wrapped a piece of the Tea Room Ribbon around it as well.  I cut a doily from Fresh Fig cardstock using the Spot of Tea Framlits Dies and my Big Shot, then applied one of the stickers from the Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers.  I cut a 1-1/2 inch circle from the vellum as well, then applied the butterfly sticker.

Inside the tin are three mini notecards.  I used sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set for each card!  I used the same ribbon as on the outside of the tin, and used both of the doily dies from the Spot of Tea Framelits, one in Fresh Fig and the other in Whisper White.  I LOVE mini note cards, as they are the perfect size to tuck into gift bags, lunchboxes, or coworkers mail boxes!  You can also punch a small hole in the corner, thread some ribbon or twine through the hole, and use as a gift tag.  I kept all three cards exactly the same except for the sentiment and the sticker on the envelope:

I really love the combination of Fresh Fig and Copper.  I think it’s a really pretty color combination!

All of the items from the Tea Room Suite will be available June 1st.  When you receive your new catalog, you can find the suite on pages 14 and 15.  Need a demonstrator?  I would love to help you with whatever you need!  Please feel free to contact me anytime, or visit my online store to shop!

Although most of the products used on this project are not available just yet, there are still lots of fantastic products available NOW! Click the image below to shop current products, and don’t forget to check out the last chance products section!  All products in there are retiring, and are only available until May 31st or while supplies last.  Some products have started selling out already, so be sure to stock up on your retiring favorites before they are gone for good!

Thanks for visiting today!  Enjoy your day!

Copper Foil Wedding Card with Flourish Thinlits

Weddings usually call for something a little more elegant than your average, everyday card.  There are a few different ways that you can step up the wow factor, while still keeping things simple!  For this card, I used a combination of Shimmery White Cardstock, Copper Foil Sheets, and glittery Embossing Paste to make this card more elegant!

First, I used Shimmery White Cardstock to make both the card base and top layer of this card. Next, I mixed some Dazzling Diamonds glitter into a small amount of Embossing Paste and applied to the top layer using Palette Knives and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. The Embossing Paste does takes a bit of time to dry, so I set the top layer aside while I worked on the rest of the card.

I used my Big Shot and Flourish Thinlits to cut the large flourish from Copper Foil Sheets.  I stamped the “Side by Side” sentiment, which is from the Beautiful Bouquet Photopolymer stamp set, in Basic Black Archival Ink, just below the bottom edge of the Embossing Paste. I adhered the flourish using Multipurpose Glue. Once the top layer was fully completed, I adhered it to the base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Dimensionals gives the card added detail to step it up a bit a more!
