Abstract Impressions Thank You Card

Today’s card is very similar to a set of cards I made in June for my son’s teachers.  I needed to make some cards for customers, and I really like the way the ones I made in June came out!  So I decided to make more, but just switched up the colors!  My original cards from June can be seen below:

For my card today, I used paper from the Tea Room Specialty Designer Series Paper, along with stamps and dies from the Abstract Impressions Bundle.  Colors are Coastal Cabana, Pool Party, Crushed Curry, and Whisper White!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Whisper White card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Crushed Curry middle layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

Whisper White top layer:  3-5/8 x 4-7/8 inches

DSP Butterfly: 2-1/4 x 4 inches

This card is super simple to make, but so pretty!  It can easily be made for any occasion, just by switching up the sentiment!

Thanks for visiting today!

CASE the Catty Day 2 and Merry Mondays!

Welcome to Day 2 of my CASE the catty week!  Before I get to today’s card, I decided that, for at least the next couple of months, I will share Christmas cards only on Mondays.  Now that I got my first order of Holiday Catalog goodies, all I want to make is Christmas cards, but I also want to pace myself and not go overboard, as it’s still summer!  LOL!  So posting them only on Mondays will help keep that in check (hopefully)!  🙂

My card today is based on a sample on page 100 of the catalog:

Believe it or not, my card is based on the bottom card in this picture.  When I first started making it, I had a very different idea in my head of what I wanted the final card to look like.  As I continued to create it and made changes as I went along, it began to look less and less like the original sample!  Other than the plaid backgrounds, there’s not too much left in common between these cards, though I’m still very pleased with how my final card came out!

Most of the products used on this card are from the new Holiday Catalog!  The plaid background paper is from a new DSP called the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Paper.  The “Christmas” die cut and “Wishes” stamp are from a gorgeous new bundle called the Merry Christmas to All Bundle.  I also used a new trim called the 3/16″ Braided Linen Trim.  Other products include the Stitched Shapes Framelits and the Twinkle Builder Punch, which I used to cut out the stars!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Mossy Meadow card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Cherry Cobbler middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Plaid DSP layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

Very Vanilla stitched oval:  3-5/16 x 2-3/8 inches

Christmas die cut:  4-5/8 x 1-1/4 inches

Cherry Cobbler stars:  approximately 1/4 inch

All of the Holiday Catalog products shown on this project will be available beginning September 5th!  I have the new catalogs in hand and will be shipping them out to my customers by the end of this week.  If you would like a copy, and do not already have a demonstrator, please send me your name and address and I will put you on my list!

Thanks for stopping by!  Please check back tomorrow for Day 3’s project!

New Host Set: Very Vintage

In every Stampin’ Up! catalog, there are a handful of stamp sets that can only be purchased with Stampin’ Rewards.  Stampin’ Rewards can be earned in one of two ways:

  1. Host a qualifying party or workshop of $150 or more in sales.
  2. Place an order of $150 or more (before tax and shipping).

When one of these two things happen, Stampin’ Rewards are earned, which are basically rewards dollars that you can use on anything in the catalog or online store, including the host sets mentioned above!  The stamp set I used on this card is one of those sets.  It is called Very Vintage, and can be found on page 227 of the new catalog.  The set comes in your choice of wood mount or clear mount, and the full set can be seen below:

For this card, I used the large floral stamp, as well as the lacy looking one, and of course, the “Dear Friend” sentiment as well!  To get the clean lines, I used masking tape across the top and bottom of the cardstock so that there would be definite lines to the design.  I applied the masking tape before stamping, and once the ink was dry, I removed the tape.  I stamped the flowers in Crumb Cake ink, and stamped some of the lace in the background in Petal Pink.

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Crumb cake card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Soft Suede middle layer:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Very Vanilla top layer: 3-3/4 x 5 inches

Also, the stamped area of this card measures about 2-1/8 inches wide, but you can make it as large or small as you want depending where you place your tape!

The only embellishments I added to this card were the pink Share What You Love Artisan Pearls in each corner.  I really just wanted to keep it simple!  I also adhered the top two layers with dimensionals, just to give it a little extra detail!  You can find all of the supplies used on this card below, and of course, if you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to ask!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Send a Hug with Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper

Today’s card uses mostly NEW product from the new annual catalog!  The sentiment is from the Abstract Impressions stamp set, the paper banners are from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper, and the embossed background was made with the new Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The flowers were die cut with a die from the Seasonal Layers Thinlits Dies.

Even though I used only three colors/patterns from the Share What You Love paper, it actually has a stunning color palette of 13 gorgeous colors!  The paper also contains patterns and shades of pinks, purples, blues, and more.  You can see the entire array of colors and designs below:

I just love this paper!  It includes 6 double sided handpainted designs on heavyweight paper.  Four of the designs have a really pretty pearlized finish.  Each sheet measures 12 x 12 inches, and the package contains 24 sheets!  The full color palette for this paper is shown below:

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Whisper White cardstock base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Basic Black middle layer: 3-11/16 x 4-15/16 inches

Whisper White top layer: 3-9/16 x 4-13/16

DSP banners:  1/2 x 2-1/4 inches

Die cut flowers: 1 x 1 inch

Please see below for the complete project list for this card.  And don’t forget, the Buy 3 Get 1 Free Designer Series Paper sale starts July 1st!  While the Share What You Love paper is NOT included in the sale, there are lots of other gorgeous ones that are!

Clean and Simple Thank You Cards

After almost two weeks of creating gifts and cards for school staff in two different schools, I still needed to make end of year thank you cards for Luca’s teachers.  I wanted something simple but colorful, so I pulled out my Abstract Impressions Bundle and Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper and made these!

While I decided to make the cards the same in terms of design, I didn’t want them to be exactly the same, so I decided to go with different colors for each teacher.  I borrowed the idea of cutting the butterfly from DSP from this month’s Artisan Design Team projects (see them HERE), and went with shades of pink for one teacher, and blues and yellows for the other!

On the above card, I used Melon Mambo for the middle layer and the sentiment.  On the other, I used Pacific Point cardstock for the middle layer and sentiment.  The sentiment is actually not from the Abstract Impressions bundle, but from the Petal Palette stamp set.  And both cards are embellished with Rhinestone Basic Jewels.

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Whisper White cardstock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 and folded in half)

Middle layer (Melon Mambo or Pacific Point): 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Whisper White top layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

DSP Butterfly:  2-1/4 x 4 inches

Sometimes I like to keep it super simple, and I think these cards are just that! These could very easily be switched up for any occasion just by changing the sentiment.  They were also quick and easy to make, so if you need a card but don’t have a lot of time, or need to make a bunch, these would be a great choice!

Please feel free to contact me with any questions you have!  Thanks for visiting!

Garden Impressions Designer Series Paper and Abstract Impressions Card

My project today was inspired by my upline, Stella MacKay!  She sent me a gorgeous thank you card made with very similar colors and products, and I just love it!  For my version, I used the Garden Impressions 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper as the background, along with the Abstract Impressions stamp set for the sentiment!  I love the color combination of this card!  The main colors are So Saffron, Night of Navy, and Whisper White. The color combo of the full Garden Impressions DSP is as follows:

I just love the bold brights and regals used in this paper!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

So Saffron cardstock card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Night of Navy middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

So Saffron layer:  3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Garden Impressions DSP top layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

So Saffron scalloped piece:  2-9/16 in diameter

Whisper White sentiment piece:  2-3/8 inches

Night of Navy Stiched heart:  1/2 x 1/2 inch

I also used various embellishments to finish off this card.  Some are brand new and others are returning favorites!  To see the compete list of products used on this project, please see below!

Bright and Fun Lemon Zest Card

I was just flipping through the new Annual Catalog when this bright and fun image caught my eye!  It’s on page 117 of the catalog, and it features the Lemon Zest stamp set, along with some bright and sunny colors…perfect for summer!  I do not actually have this set (yet), but I figured I would share this image anyway!

This card was made with the Lemon Zest stamp set, the Lemon Builder Punch, the 1-3/4 inch Circle Punch, and some cute embellishments to dress it up a bit!  The Lemon Zest stamp set contains 11 red rubber stamps, and comes in both wood mount and clear mount.  It has a great mix of both images and sentiments. Here’s a peek at the full set:

As far as colors go, I am going to have to give it my best guess, as I did not make this card myself! So my best guess for colors are Lemon Lime Twist, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Calypso Coral, Poppy Parade, and possibly Melon Mambo?  And of course, they are all set against a background of Whisper White!

If any of you happen to know for sure what the colors are for sure, please let me know!  🙂
I really just love the fun vibe of this card!  I will definitely be putting this on my wish list ASAP, especially with summer right around the corner!
Thank you for stopping by today!  Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Last week I received this beautiful birthday card from my upline, Sarah Wills!  I always love the cards she sends.  She puts such beautiful colors together!  This card uses a combination of Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Powder Pink, as well as Whisper White.  It also uses a combination of both retiring and current products.  It’s always so nice to get happy mail!

You can find all of the products that she used to make this card listed below.
