Another Little Elephant Project

Yesterday, I shared some cupcake toppers made with the Little Elephant Bundle.  It reminded me that I had a really cute card made with the same bundle that I haven’t shared yet.  So I am sharing it today!  I made this card at my friend Sherri Everett’s event in July.  It was one of ten cards I made, and is definitely one of my favorites!  Like yesterday’s project, it features the Little Elephant Bundle, and uses both the stamp set as well as the punch.  It also features the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper!

Colors for this card are Petal Pink, Gray Granite, and Whisper White.  The tag is from the Wood Crate Framelits, and it’s embellished with a tiny bow made with the Silver and Petal Pink Baker’s Twine!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Thick Whisper White cardstock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Petal Pink cardstock middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

DSP top layer:  3-3/4 x 5 inches

Petal Pink Stitched Circle backing layer:  2-7/16 inches in diameter

Whisper White circle:  2-1/8 inches in diameter

Elephant piece:  1-11/16 x 1-1/16 inch

Gray Granite tag:  3/4 x 1-1/4 inch

I just love this bundle!  I think it’s so cute for babies and kids!  And it’s a perfect match for the Twinkle Twinkle Designer Series Paper, as it has pinks, blues, greens, and some neutrals, perfect for any color decor!

I hope you enjoyed today’s project!  Thanks for stopping by!

Cute Cupcake Toppers with the Little Elephant Bundle

Here’s something a little different!  How cute are these cupcakes?  Elephants are super trendy right now, and the Little Elephant Bundle makes it easy to make adorable elephants for cards, tags, gift packaging…and even cupcakes! These adorable cupcake toppers were made with the Little Elephant Bundle, which includes the 15 piece Little Elephant stamp set, as well as the Elephant Builder Punch.  These are super easy to make, and can be made in any color you choose!  These would be perfect for a baby shower or kids’ party!  They are super cute!

Here’s a peek at what’s included in the bundle:

The bundle and stamp set are available in both wood mount and clear mount.  As with all bundles, each item is available individually, however purchasing both items as the bundle will save you 10%!

Show Some Love with the Twinkle, Twinkle Suite!

Today’s card is made with items from the Twinkle, Twinkle Suite!  It features the Little Twinkle stamp set, Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series Paper, and the Twinkle Adhesive-Backed Sequins.  I also used the star die from the Wood Crate Framelits Dies, and added some Pool Party 3/8 inch Shimmer Ribbon. The sentiment piece is cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits, and though you can’t see it in the pictures, the card and sentiment piece is made from Shimmery White card stock!

This suite is perfect to use for new baby cards!  I just love the assortment of colors in the DSP.  There’s blues, pinks, greens, and some neutrals!  The full color palette for the DSP is shown below:

Measurements for this card are as follows:
Shimmery White card stock base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)
DSP Background layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches
DSP stars:  1-1/8 inches
Shimmery White sentiment oval:  2-3/8 x 3-5/16 inches

I just love the star theme of this suite!  It perfectly covers many of the most commonly used colors for baby showers, nursery decor, and more! This suite is also great if you have someone who just loves stars, or is into astronomy.  There are many, many uses for this suite!

Hope you like my card today!  Thanks so much for visiting!

Hello, Baby card made with Twinkle, Twinkle DSP

My project today is a simple new baby card made with items from the Twinkle, Twinkle suite!  The main item used on this card is the Twinkle, Twinkle Designer Series Paper, (which is available as part of the Buy 3, get 1 FREE Sale going on this month until July 31st!)  I cut letters using the Large Letters Framelits from the paper and stamped the “Hello” with a stamp from the stamp set included in the Darling Label Punch box.

Animal Outing New Baby Card

It’s been awhile since I’ve made a baby card!  As I was going through my new stuff today, I saw my Mint Macaron and Soft Sea Foam card stock next to each other and thought they looked really pretty together.  Then I saw my Animal Outing stamp set, and this is what came to mind.  Green is my favorite color, and I love these two shades together for babies!

The rhino was colored with light and dark Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends, the little bird was colored with light and dark Bermuda Bay ones, and the rhino’s horn was colored with the Ivory marker.  I framed him with Stitched Shapes Framelits, and layered him with a large scalloped circle cut with the Layering Circles Framelits.

The sentiment is actually two different stamps from the Animal Outing set.  I placed them both on the same block and stamped them together, but even though I put them as close together as I could, there was more space between the two words than I would have liked.  Instead of redoing it, I pulled out my Pick a Pennant set and stamped the tiny heart in between them in Blushing Bride ink.  It was the perfect size and perfect way to fill that extra bit of space!  I also went over the heart with Clear Wink of Stella for just a bit of shimmer (though it’s hard to see from the pics.)

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Mint Macaron card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 and folded in half)

Whisper White middle layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Soft Sea Foam top layer: 3-7/8 x 5-1/8 inches

Mint Macaron scalloped circle:  3-1/8 inches in diameter

White stitched circle:  2-15/16 inches in diameter

Small scalloped sentiment piece: 1-3/8 inches in diameter

I love the colors and images on this card!  (I really love the whole new subtles collection actually!)  The soft colors are perfect for baby projects!

If you have any questions about this card, please let me know!  Enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Throwback Thursday: My Baby Shower Thank you!

The other night, my sister and I were going through a box of our mom’s old pictures and I came across this card I made back in 2011!  I made these for my baby shower when I was having my first child.  We didn’t find out if he was a girl or boy ahead of time, so I made them green and yellow (or more specifically Certainly Celery and Barely Banana – both of which are retired now.)  I used two stamp sets on this card.  The first is called I’m Here, and is the set that contains the alphabet background stamp and the handprint used on the card.  The full set included two hand stamps, two footprints, the alphabet stamp, and another that says “I’m Here”.  The Thank You sentiment came from a second set called Short & Sweet.  Unfortunately, both of these sets are now retired, though you can probably still find them on ebay or Etsy!

These cards were intentionally kept simple, as I had to make so many of them.  I love seeing old stamp sets and colors on projects I’ve made in the past!  Certainly Celery is one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! colors of all time. I even used it as one of my wedding colors when I got married in 2008!  (Someday, when I unpack all of the boxes sitting in my basement, I’ll also share my wedding invitations!  I made them as well!)

Thanks for stopping by today!  Enjoy your day!
