6 x 6 One Sheet Wonder Project with Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper

Have you ever heard of a One Sheet Wonder?  It’s when you use ONE sheet of patterned paper to make multiple, coordinating cards.  If you google “One Sheet Wonder” or enter it into Pinterest, many, MANY examples pop up!  Some are designed for 6 x 6 inch paper, some for 8 x 8, some for 12 x 12, and I’ve even seen some for 8-1/2 x 11 inch paper!  Some are super simple, while some are pretty intricate.  However, regardless of the size or level of detail, one sheet wonder projects are a great way to make a bunch of beautifully coordinated cards!

The template I chose to use for my project today uses one sheet of 6 x 6 inch designer series paper!  I found the template on Pinterest, and it linked to a blog post of a fellow papercrafter by the name of Kathy Roney.  The template I used is her original design.  Although I switched up the cards a bit to put my own spin on them, I did use her template, and I definitely want to give her credit for creating it!  If you would like to see her original template and the gorgeous cards she created with it, please click HERE.

For my cards, I decided to use a sheet of paper from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper!  I started with a 6 x 6 inch sheet and then cut it up as shown below:

All of the colors I used for my cards coordinate with the colors in the paper.  The colors I used are:

All cards measure 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 inches, and they all use a few common products (besides the DSP):
  • Subtle Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Pearl Basic Jewels
  • Whisper White 1/8″ Sheer Ribbon
  • Love What You Do stamp set

Here is a close up of each card individually:

This project was a lot of fun to complete, and a great one to try if you’ve never done a One Sheet Wonder project before!  The cutting and designs are pretty simple, and can easily be used for a variety of styles and layouts!  Here’s another look at all 6 completed cards together:

I hope you’ve enjoyed my post today!  If you have any questions about this project, please don’t hesitate to ask!

  1. What a great idea! I only have four pieces of my SDSP left. I used alot to cover notepads for OnStage. I really will try this! I thought about making one set with one side and make another set with the other side. To finish off my SDSP, I thought I’d use different card bases ans different color mats!
You’ve given me alot of greatideas. I hardly ever use my DSP up before the catolog changes. I might actually get to that here! Again, Thank YOU so much for sharing both blog pages with us! Happy Holidays to you and your family!

  2. Lovely cards…and a great way to use the “hoarded” DSP…what technique did you use for stamping on the textured paper?

    1. Thank you! For the textured pieces, I stamped the sentiment before embossing the cardstock. Much easier to do it that way than try to stamp after the texture is added!
