Happy Thursday! It’s my turn to create for 3D Thursday, and with 4th of July right around the corner, I created some decorative Patriotic Pinwheels! These were super easy (and fun) to make!
For these, I used a combination of Cherry Cobbler and Misty Moonlight for my red and blue. I used a star stamp from the So Much Happy stamp set to stamp the stars all over both sides of the Designer Series Paper. Both sheets are 6 x 6 sheets from the Regals and 2020-2022 In Color sets, so no trimming was even needed to start! Easy peasy!
These particular pinwheels unfortunately do not spin. They are meant to be decorative only. However, I am going to try to make some with paper fasteners to make spinning ones. I just need to get some paper fasteners. I thought I had some, but couldn’t find them, so I used thumb tacks instead. The thumb tacks are another reason why these should be used for decoration only. I will admit, I poked myself a few times making these!
The finished pinwheel measures approximately 8-1/2 inches across tip to tip. Make a bunch of these to decorate your fireplace mantel, tabletop for 4th of July, and more! If you would like to make some of your own, you can download my FREE project sheet HERE or by clicking the image below. I would love to see what you come up with!
