Getting Ready for OnStage in Hartford, CT

So you may have noticed that over the last week or so, I have not had very many of my own projects to share with you.  I’ve been sharing a lot of announcements and stock photos from Stampin’ Up! instead.  There is actually a pretty good reason for that!  The truth is, I really HAVE been creating many new projects…I just can’t share them with you yet.  Why?  Because I am using BRAND NEW product that hasn’t been released yet, and I can’t show ANY of it until sometime next week!  The reason for this is because I was chosen to be a Display Board stamper at Stampin’ Up’s OnStage event this coming weekend in Hartford, CT.  I am super excited and very honored to have been chosen!

OnStage is a convention type event that Stampin’ Up! holds twice per year for demonstrators.  It’s an event where demonstrators get to meet new people, create lots of fun projects, and see new catalogs!  We also win prizes, get lunch, and have tons of fun!  For each event, Stampin’ Up! asks demonstrators to apply to be Display Board Stampers.  The demonstrators that are chosen receive new product, and make projects with it that are displayed throughout the event!  A few months ago, when I applied, I had to submit six samples of my work to Stampin’ Up: three card fronts, two 3-D items, and a 12 x 12 inch scrapbook page.  I collected all of my sample images and created a dedicated Pinterest Board, so that they were all in one spot for Stampin’ Up! to check them out.  (If you would like to see the board with my submission samples, please click HERE.)  A little while after applying, I received an email that I had been chosen!  I then was sworn to secrecy (legally and everything – no joke!), and in early February, they sent me a box of new product from the upcoming 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.  I was asked to create 15-20 projects with what they sent me.  I just finished my last sample YESTERDAY.  This coming Saturday,  I will be given a spot on the display boards at the event in Hartford, CT to display my projects.  I’m excited, but also a little nervous too!

So honestly, I haven’t been slacking!  I just have been working on things I can’t show you yet.  But I CAN tell you, I think you’re really going to like what’s in the new catalog!  There’s some beautiful new products in there…and that’s pretty much all I can say right now!  🙂

So stay tuned for lots of new projects coming soon!   In the meantime, I’ll try to sneak in a few more projects with current product too (if I can get some done before Saturday)!

Thanks so much for checking in today!  See you again soon!

Nicolle
