Another Daisy Delight Thank You

Here is another card we made last weekend at my World Card Making Day event!  This one has the same layout as the one I made for my customer thank yous for September.  You can take a peek at that card here.  For this one, I just switched up the colors and materials a bit!  This one features Berry Burst and Lemon Lime Twist as the main colors, along with Whisper White and a touch of Daffodil Delight.  I used the Daisy Punch to make the daisy, but on this card, I left the petals completely white.  The Daisy Delight stamp set has a stamp that you can use to stamp lines on the petals to give them a bit of a textured look, but for this card, I chose to leave them plain. The background of the card was made with the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  The thank you sentiment is from the Daisy Delight stamp set, which can be purchased as a bundle with the Daisy Punch for a savings of 10%!

Thanks for checking in today!  Have a great weekend!

Sending Love and Hugs to You

Earlier this year, I did an “In Color Week” where I posted a new card each day on my Facebook page that featured one of the 2017-2019 In Colors.  I modified the one I made back then for Fresh Fig for my World Card Making Event and came up with this!  I simply added an extra Lemon Lime Twist layer behind the sentiment, and changed the sentiment as well. I love this sentiment because it can be used for so many different occasions.  It is from the Ribbon of Courage stamp set, which is one of my favorite new sets from the Annual Catalog!  Don’t forget, during the month of October, I will donate $5 for each Ribbon of Courage Bundle purchased through me to Breast Cancer Research!

Hope you like this card! Thanks for checking in today!

September Customer Thank Yous

These thank you cards were made for my customers who placed an order in September!  They feature the Daisy Delight Bundle, as well as the Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.  I had originally decided to make them all the same, with Night of Navy cardstock as the middle layer:

Then, at the last minute, I decided to mix it up a bit!  All of the cards are the same with the exception of the color of the middle layer.  For the other four, I used Daffodil Delight, Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, and Tranquil Tide!

Not sure which is my favorite!  This card also has a very simple layout that can be easily adapted for any occasion just by switching up the Designer Series Paper, stamped image, and sentiment!

3 x 3 Painted Harvest Mini Note Card Set

I LOVE mini note cards!  Mini note cards are the perfect size to place in lunches, coworkers’ mailboxes, or for use as gift tags! This set was made using the Painted Harvest Bundle, Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper, and both the Ribbon of Courage and So Many Shells stamp sets. I love sunflowers, and this set makes it easy to make stunning sunflowers in any color combination you choose.  For these cards, I stuck with traditional yellow, but I’ve seen some made with red, orange, and even some non-traditional greens, blues, and more that are just gorgeous!

These cards measure 3 x 3 inches, and are the perfect size to fit inside the new Mini Pizza Boxes. These cute little boxes measure 3-1/2 x 3-1/2 x 1 inches, and can be used for card sets/tags, but are also food safe, so they can be used for yummy treats as well!  This finished set contains the three cards, as well as three Whisper White 3 x 3 Envelopes (envelopes not shown).  This set would make a cute gift for someone special!

Thanks for stopping by today!

gerbera daisy Thankful for You Card

I love the combination of Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black, and Very Vanilla together!  This card uses these three colors, as well as Always Artichoke! The Daisy Punch was used to make this deep colored Gerbera Daisy, and the leaves were made using cutting dies from both the Rose Garden Thinlits and the Bouquet Bunch Framelits. To get the fullness on the daisy, I stamped and punched the daisy twice, then layered one on top of the other. The background is embossed with the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, which gives this card just a little added detail, and the sentiment is from the Painted Harvest stamp set!

Here’s a list of the different inks I used, and where I used them:

Versamark ink was used on the daisy itself.
Basic Black Archival ink was used on the sentiment.
Soft Suede ink was used on the center of the daisy.

Hope you like it!

Soft Sayings Card Kit

With all of the excitement surrounding the Holiday Catalog, it’s easy to forget about the Annual Catalog for awhile! But there are still plenty of birthdays and other everyday occasions that need to be celebrated during the holiday season as well!  Always have a card on hand for these occasions when you have the Soft Sayings Card Kit. This kit makes 20 beautiful everyday occasion cards (2 each of 10 different designs) including birthday, thank you, friendship, and more!

The colors on these cards are stunning!  I love the combination of greens, yellows, pinks, and more on the softly watercolored backgrounds.  The kit includes everything you need to complete the cards (with the exception of scissors and adhesive).  To complete this kit, I recommend using glue dots, snail, and/or multipurpose glue.

The kit also includes 20 mix and match envelopes, watercolored to match the cards.  And the cards are fast and easy to assemble.  Full color instructions are included, so even if you are new to cardmaking, you can still easily complete this kit!

Need more than 20 cards? There’s a refill available! The refill includes everything in the full kit, except the stamps, ink, block, and box. For more information on this beautiful kit, please click here.

mini gift box made with the envelope punch board

This itty, bitty gift box was made using the Envelope Punch Board!  I never would have thought to use that board to make a BOX, but it was super easy, and you can adjust the size of the paper and score lines to make all different sizes!  This one is 2-3/8 x 2-3/8 x 1-3/8 inches in size, and is the absolute perfect size for party favors.  While I am not set up to do videos of my own just yet, there are many, many videos already out there that you can watch to learn how to do this if you’d like to make your own. Simply Google “Gift Box with Envelope Punch Board” and a bunch of different videos will pop up. You can easily make these for any occasion, simply by changing the paper!

To make this particular box, I started with a 6 x 6 inch square of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper. I used the Envelope Punch Board to punch and score at both 2 and 4 inches all the way around the square.  Once that was done, I rounded all the corners using the reverse punch, which can be found right at the top of the board.  I then folded the paper on all of the score lines. There are a couple of places that you need to cut with scissors in order to fold the box correctly (this is where a video definitely helps!) Once the score lines were folded, I applied some Fast Fuse adhesive to keep the box together. Before closing it up, I put in a few Hershey Kisses, and then just folded the top flaps down and added a bit of adhesive to keep it closed. I wanted to keep the top of this box flat in order to wrap the ribbon around and use the mini bow on top, but there are many other ways to finish them instead. For instance, in the video I watched, small holes were punched in each flap that had ribbon threaded through. The ribbon was then tied a bow. Definitely check out Pinterest and/or Google for lots of examples of how these little boxes can be finished, and what they can be used for!

Other items used to finish this box include the Leaf Punch, Wood Words Bundle (for the sentiment and tag), and Silver Mini Sequin Trim.

Copper Foil Wedding Card with Flourish Thinlits

Weddings usually call for something a little more elegant than your average, everyday card.  There are a few different ways that you can step up the wow factor, while still keeping things simple!  For this card, I used a combination of Shimmery White Cardstock, Copper Foil Sheets, and glittery Embossing Paste to make this card more elegant!

First, I used Shimmery White Cardstock to make both the card base and top layer of this card. Next, I mixed some Dazzling Diamonds glitter into a small amount of Embossing Paste and applied to the top layer using Palette Knives and the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. The Embossing Paste does takes a bit of time to dry, so I set the top layer aside while I worked on the rest of the card.

I used my Big Shot and Flourish Thinlits to cut the large flourish from Copper Foil Sheets.  I stamped the “Side by Side” sentiment, which is from the Beautiful Bouquet Photopolymer stamp set, in Basic Black Archival Ink, just below the bottom edge of the Embossing Paste. I adhered the flourish using Multipurpose Glue. Once the top layer was fully completed, I adhered it to the base using Stampin’ Dimensionals. Using the Dimensionals gives the card added detail to step it up a bit a more!
