Copper Tea Tin and Mini Note Card Set

My project today features items from a NEW suite of products called the Tea Room Suite!  All products in this suite will be available starting June 1st when the NEW 2018-2019 Annual Catalog goes live.  For this project, I used four products from the suite: Copper Tea Tins, Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers, Tea Room Ribbon, and Spot of Tea Framelits Dies.  There is also a coordinating stamp set, Designer Series Paper, and a Memories and More Card Pack in the suite!

For this project, I decided to keep it simple and do a coordinating set of three mini notecards with envelopes.  The tins measure 3-3/4 x 3-5/8 x 2-1/4 inches in size, making them the perfect size for holding 3 x 3 inch note cards and envelopes!

I wrapped the tin with a piece of Vellum, and then wrapped a piece of the Tea Room Ribbon around it as well.  I cut a doily from Fresh Fig cardstock using the Spot of Tea Framlits Dies and my Big Shot, then applied one of the stickers from the Tea Room Copper Vinyl Stickers.  I cut a 1-1/2 inch circle from the vellum as well, then applied the butterfly sticker.

Inside the tin are three mini notecards.  I used sentiments from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set for each card!  I used the same ribbon as on the outside of the tin, and used both of the doily dies from the Spot of Tea Framelits, one in Fresh Fig and the other in Whisper White.  I LOVE mini note cards, as they are the perfect size to tuck into gift bags, lunchboxes, or coworkers mail boxes!  You can also punch a small hole in the corner, thread some ribbon or twine through the hole, and use as a gift tag.  I kept all three cards exactly the same except for the sentiment and the sticker on the envelope:

I really love the combination of Fresh Fig and Copper.  I think it’s a really pretty color combination!

All of the items from the Tea Room Suite will be available June 1st.  When you receive your new catalog, you can find the suite on pages 14 and 15.  Need a demonstrator?  I would love to help you with whatever you need!  Please feel free to contact me anytime, or visit my online store to shop!

Sitting Pretty Bulldog Birthday Card

Today’s card was made with the new Sitting Pretty stamp set, available June 1st in the NEW Annual Catalog!  This card features a cute little bulldog with a bow tie, party hat, and a balloon.  The colors and patterns of this card make it a perfect masculine birthday card!  The bulldog was made with two step stamping stamps.  The outline of the bulldog is one stamp, and the light brown coloring is the second stamp.  You can see both stamps in the full stamp set below:

I combined this set with Wood Textures and True Gentleman Designer Series Papers; the Perennial Birthday and Bird Banter stamp sets; and Night Of Navy 3/8″ (1 Cm) Corduroy Ribbon and Regals Enamel Shapes.  The balloon and party hat were also colored with Night of Navy Stampin’ Blends.

Some elements of this card were also popped up with Dimensionals to give a little added height and texture!

Measurements for this card are as follows:

Crumb Cake card base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Wood Textures DSP layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Early Espresso Layer:  3 x 4-1/4 inches

Very Vanilla top layer:  2-7/8 x 4-1/8 inches

Very Vanilla banner piece cut from scraps

The stamp set and Wood Textures DSP will be available in the new Annual Catalog. However, the True Gentleman DSP, Regals Enamel Shapes, Bird Banter stamp set, and Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon are retiring May 31st!  Be sure to stock up on these products while they are still available!  You can shop retiring products HERE.

Here’s a close up of the bulldog.  I think he’s so cute with his little bow tie and party hat!

Today’s card is a super simple design!  It features the Perennial Birthday Stamp set, as well as the Polka Dot Basics Textured Impressions Embossing Folder for the background.  Colors are Dapper Denim, Lemon Lime Twist, and Daffodil Delight.  The flower is embellished in the center with a Clear Faceted Gem.

Measurements for this card are:

Dapper Denim Card Base: 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored at 4-1/4 inches and folded in half)

Lemon Lime Twist Middle Layer: 5-1/8 x 3-7/8 inches

Dapper Denim Top Layer: 5 x 3-13/16 inches

Lemon Lime Twist Strip: 5 x 1-1/2 inches

Springtime Foils and Beautiful Day Birthday Card PLUS NEW Sale-a-Bration Offerings

Thank you for checking in today!  It’s definitely been awhile since my last post!  Last Wednesday night, we had a huge snowstorm on the East Coast that knocked out my cable, internet, and phone for three days.  Then on Friday, I woke up with a little sniffle and chest congestion that ended up turning into four days sick in bed.  It was a pretty rough week!  Although everything is back up and running tech wise, I am still not feeling 100% better, though am at the point where I feel good enough to start posting again!  If you checked in while I was out, I apologize that there was nothing new for a bit!  Thanks so much for checking back!  🙂

Today’s card was made with the Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper and Beautiful Day stamp set.  Early last week, I posted a card made with a different design of this paper, which I had colored with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  (See it HERE.)  For today’s card, I left the paper as is, and just added a gold foil layer, as well as a gold heat embossed sentiment.  I love the foil designs and accents of the paper, and think it’s elegant enough that it needs very little extra embellishment!  I think this card would also make a very pretty wedding card…the birthday sentiment would just have to be switched to a wedding one!

Don’t forget, the Springtime Foils Paper is only available with a $50 purchase (before tax and shipping) during Sale-a-Bration!  There’s only a couple of weeks left, so scoop this paper up while you have the chance!  The final day of Sale-a-Bration is March 31st!

Speaking of Sale-a-Bration, Stampin’ Up! just released a whole new set of items that can be earned for FREE between now and March 31st!  These are regular catalog items that can be earned with a $50-100 purchase!  The only catch is that you need to use the special Sale-a-Bration item numbers shown below to get them for free.  Using the regular catalog numbers will add them to your cart at the regular catalog price!  Check out the new items just added below:

To shop, please visit the online store HERE.

Here’s a last look at today’s card so you can see the shine of the paper and sentiment!  Isn’t that gold and silver just gorgeous?

Thanks again for stopping by!  Have a great day!

Kind Thoughts for You with the You’re Inspiring Stamp Set

Tulips are hands down my favorite Spring flowers, but daffodils are a close second!  So when I saw the You’re Inspiring stamp set in the Occasions Catalog, I immediately put it on my wish list!  This set is perfect for multiple Spring occasions, and includes sentiments for birthdays, Easter, Mother’s Day, and more!  It includes 8 rubber stamps and comes in both Wood Mount or Clear Mount.  Here’s what the full set looks like:

The flowers on the card are colored with Daffodil Delight and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  I used both the light and dark shades of both.  I stamped the flowers in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored them once the ink was completely dry.  I then framed the flowers with one of the Lots of Labels Framelits and cut them out using the Big Shot.  I also used my Stamparatus to stamp the “Kind thoughts for you” sentiment multiple times in the background!

The measurements for this card are as follows:

Night of Navy card base:  5-1/2 x 8-1/2 inches (scored and folded in half)

Night of Navy top layer:  4 x 5-1/4 inches

Whisper White:  4 x 5-1/4 inches (used both for daffodil piece and punched piece with sentiment)

Other items used on this card include the Classic Label Punch, Linen Thread, and Pearl Basic Jewels!

Check out the supply list below for everything you need to make this card!

We Must Celebrate…a Happy Birthday!

A couple of weeks ago, I did a poll on my Facebook page asking people which stamp set they would like to see me get and make projects with.  The stamp set We Must Celebrate got the most votes, hands down!  This very cute set was already on my wish list, but I hadn’t had a chance to get it.  This gave me a reason to finally order it!

For the first card I made with this set, I wanted to keep it simple.  I stamped the little animals and colored them with Stampin’ Blends Markers.  I then cut them out with the Lots of Labels Framelits.  I used a piece of Wood Textures Designer Series Paper for the background and wrapped a piece of linen thread around it a couple of times before mounting it to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I then heat embossed the sentiment in white, trimmed it to 1/2 inch wide, and then cut the ends with the Triple Banner Punch.  The sentiment is also mounted with dimensionals.  And that’s it!  I had planned to add a linen thread bow and put a heart somewhere, but when I added them, it looked a little cluttered!  So I decided to just leave the extras off.  Sometimes, you just gotta keep it simple!

Thanks so much for stopping by today!

Rainbow Builder Framelits Meets the Magical Day Bundle

Yesterday was my sister’s birthday.  I had made an entirely different card for her, and then I remembered that she has a unicorn coffee mug that she LOVES.  So with about 45 minutes until I had to leave to go see her, I very quickly put this card together!  I didn’t have a lot of time to fuss with the design, so I just kept it simple!  But I like how it came out.  (And so did she!)

I used the Rainbow Builder Framelits Dies to make the rainbow in Brights cardstock colors.  I used Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Pacific Point, and Rich Razzleberry.  I also cut the clouds from the same set in Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Paper, just to give the card a little sparkle!  The unicorn was stamped in Memento Ink, cut out with the coordinating die from the Magical Mates Framelits Dies (which are part of the Magical Day Bundle) and colored the mane, tail, and horn with Stampin’ Blends.  I finished off the unicorn by brushing a little Clear Wink of Stella on the colored areas!

I finished off the card by adding some silver metallic stars from the Metallics Enamel Shapes, and it was done!  Simple, but also bright, colorful, and fun!

Brusho Meets Detailed Floral Thinlits

Every year when the Occasions Catalog comes out, I get so excited about everything that’s new, that I often (temporarily) forget about all of the amazing products still available in the Annual Catalog!  So this weekend, I focused on making sure to feature Annual Catalog products in everything I created!  For this set of cards, the Detailed Floral Thinlits Dies is the main product I used from the Annual Catalog.

For both cards, I used Brusho in Brilliant Red, Gamboge, and Yellow with a Stampin’ Spritzer on Watercolor Paper.  I cut a sheet of the watercolor paper in half, and watercolored the entire thing with Brusho.  For the first card, when the watercolor paper was completely dry, I ran it through the Big Shot with the Detailed Floral Thinlits to make the colorful die cut top layer:

I mounted the die cut layer directly onto a thick Whisper White base, added a strip of white cardstock, and stamped the sentiment from the Picture Perfect Birthday set in Smoky Slate.  I finished it by adding a white organza ribbon bow and some pearls!

While making the first card, I got the idea to make a second card, but use a solid Brusho layer underneath a white die cut top layer instead (so kind of the opposite of what I did for the first card!).  So I colored another sheet of the watercolor paper with Brusho, then mounted it to the white base.  I then used the die to make a plain white die cut layer, and added that over the Brusho piece.  I then added the white strip, sentiment, bow, and pearls, just like on the first card:

And that’s it! I’m not sure which one of these I like better, but I know I really love the color variation of the Brusho on both! Which do you prefer?

Thanks for checking in today!

Birthday Gift Tags Made with the Myths & Magic Suite

It’s another cold, snowy day in Connecticut!  My kids have yet another snow day today.  At the rate we’re going, they are going to be in school until July!

Here’s an idea for some cute tags using the Magical Day Bundle!  I made these last weekend just because I was looking to make something other than a card.  The tags were cut using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, and the corners on the bottom were rounded with the rounder punch at the top of the Envelope Punch Board.  I used the Magical Day stamp set to stamp the dragon, knight, and wizard, then cut them out with the coordinating Magical Mates cutting dies.  Both the stamps and the dies are included in the bundle, which saves you 10% off the cost of purchasing them separately!

These were a lot of fun to make!  They were stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and then handcolored using various Stampin’ Blends markers.  I used a 1 x 2 inch strip of paper from the Myths & Magic Specialty Designer Series Paper on each tag, and also stamped the background of each tag with the little circles and stars stamps in VersaMark ink.  The Happy Birthday sentiment is from the Picture Perfect Birthday set, and was stamped in Basic Gray Archival Ink and punched with the Classic Label Punch.  Each little character and sentiment were adhered with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the tags some added height and dimension!

Once the tags were assembled, it was time to embellish!  I added some silver foil circles and stars that were cut from tiny dies from the Magical Mates Dies.  I also added a different color shimmer ribbon to each tag.  The ones I used are Pool Party, Basic Black, and Pear Pizzazz.  The final touch was the addition of Clear Wink of Stella Glitter to each tag.  I only added a little bit, just to give each one a little extra shine:

On the dragon, I added the Wink of Stella to the pointy spines on his back and tail.  It was hard to get a decent pic of the glitter, but I tried!

On the knight, the glitter is on the sword, as well as a couple of the feathers in his helmet.

And then on the wizard, I applied the glitter to his hat!

These tags would be perfect for either girls or boys, but I have to admit, I did make this particular set with my boys in mind!  I even started calling the little knight “Sir Luca the Brave” after my older son, and the wizard “Maximilian, the Great” after my little one.  When I showed them to Luca, he said, “Mom, but I want to be the Dragon!”  (Go figure!)  🙂  I’m thinking of making another set for girls with some of the other stamps in the set.  Stay tuned for those sometime in the next couple of weeks!

I hope wherever you are, you are safe and warm and not getting buried under snow like we are here!  If you have any questions about how these were made, please let me know!

Enjoy your day!

A Bird Banter Birthday

Here’s a fun, happy card to start the week!  This very cute parrot is from the Bird Banter set in the Occasions catalog.  It contains a bunch of different birds, as well as some very cute bird themed sentiments, perfect for many different occasions!  If you love birds, then this is a perfect set for you!  Here’s a peek at the full set:

Isn’t is great?  My card today uses the parrot, in blues, yellows, and greens.  I used Pacific Point cardstock for the base, which is a color I don’t use too often, but I probably should.  It’s such a pretty color!  Every stamp I used on this card came from the Bird Banter set.  So the flower I used to stamp the background, the branch, the bird, the hat, and the sentiment are all included in this one set!

Other products I used on this set include the Layering Circles Framelits, Triple Banner Punch, Silver Baker’s Twine, Metallic Enamel Shapes, and both Brights and In Color Stampin’ Write Markers.  The markers I used to color the bird are Tempting Turquoise and Daffodil Delight.  I initially had colored the bird with Pacific Point, but I thought it looked too dark.  So I stamped it again and went with the Tempting Turquoise, which I liked much better!  Plus I like how the lighter blue adds a little extra contrast!

This card was a lot of fun to make!  It’s something a little different for me, but I love how it came out.  I actually won this set at OnStage, and I’m so happy I did!  Hope you like it too!

Have a great day!
